Winning chamber was useless :

From his Twitter Acct:

The American people were told: If only we get a Republican majority in the Senate and retire Harry Reid, then things will be different.

We need to ask ourselves if this is why we are in the majority: To make deals with Democrats to reauthorize cronyism & pass a spending bill

From the WT today:

Sen. Ted Cruz brazenly tore into his own party’s leaders (TrumpedIt)Friday, saying Republican rule in the Senate is hardly different than it was under Democrats, as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tried to appease both parties with a compromise on the highway bill.

The leader lied to him when he said there wasn’t pact in the works to revive the federal Export-Import Bank, an agency that finances the sale of U.S. goods overseas and lapsed June 30.

“The majority leader looked at me and said there is no deal there is no deal, there is no deal, there is no deal. Like St. Peter, he said it three times,” Mr. Cruz said, referring to an episode at a party luncheon after lawmakers debated President Obama’s trade agenda.

From Ted’s Twitter:

Then-Senator Barack Obama described Ex-Im as an example of corporate welfare. Now that he’s President, corporate welfare sounds pretty good.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) criticizes Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for filing an amendment to the highway funding bill to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank and preventing senators from offering additional amendments by filling the amendment tree. He calls Senator McConnell’s actions “procedural abuse” and compares his tactics to those of now-Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) when he was majority leader.

Senator Harry Reid @SenatorReid
I commend @SenateMajLdr for setting up a vote to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank. This bill is critically important for U.S. businesses.

‘Terrorism has gone viral': US officials, lawmakers warn of growing jihad-inspired attacks

This new declaration was made by Many on VE Day, dishonoring, as they are want to do, on our millitary that served with honor. They match it with their takeover DIShonor! ~ JP

How much of a ‘true’ threat is ISIS?!

Top U.S. officials and lawmakers on Sunday intensified concerns about the growing threat of jihad-inspired terror attacks against the United States, after last week’s attempt in Texas and the dire FBI warning that followed.

“I think there’s been an uptick in the stream of threats out there,” Texas GOP Rep. Mike McCaul, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, told “Fox News Sunday.” “We’re seeing these directives on almost a daily basis. It’s very concerning. Terrorism has gone viral.”

On Thursday, FBI Director James Comey said the attack, in which a security officer was shot in the leg, highlights the difficulties the FBI faces — as social media facilitates communication between terror groups and potential homegrown extremists.

He also said the Islamic State terror group has thousands of English-language followers on Twitter, including many in the U.S.

“The siren song sits in the pockets, on the mobile phones, of the people who are followers on Twitter,” Comey said. “It’s almost as if there’s a devil sitting on the shoulder, saying ‘Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill,’ all day long.”

Here is a GOP chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, agreeing with Comey. We are not safe from either party friends.

McCaul said Comey was “exactly right” and that trying to find ISIS’ calling for terror attacks across the broad spectrum of social media is “like trying to find a needle in a haystack.”

He also said the terror threat now is “one of the highest that I’ve ever seen” and warned of similar incidents in the future.

Also on Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the U.S. is facing a new phase of terrorism in which a so-called lone-wolf terrorist, inspired by Islamic State propaganda on social media, could “strike at any moment.”

ISIS Pushing US into ‘New Environment’ in Threats Against Homeland, Homeland Security Secretary Says:

“It’s going to get worse, not better,” he said. “This is very difficult to stop.”

“We’re very definitely in a new environment, because of ISIL’s effective use of social media, the Internet, which has the ability to reach into the homeland and possibly inspire others,” Johnson said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Johnson said the Internet can make it more difficult to predict and intercept a planned attack. But he disagreed with Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., who called the government’s response to terrorist activity online “laughable” at a committee hearing earlier this week.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Sunday also agreed with Comey.

“I think [the Islamic State’s message] is ‘kill, kill, kill,’ ” she said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It’s a force that we really haven’t seen before, and we have to begin to cope more seriously with it, and that includes social media.”

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker tonight fired back at President Barack Obama who suggested that Walker should “bone up on foreign policy.”

Obama’s remarks came after Walker said he’d revoke the nuclear weapons deal with Iran if he became president.

“It would be a foolish approach to take, and perhaps Mr. Walker, after he’s taken some time to bone up on foreign policy, will feel the same,” Obama told NPR.

Walker noted that Obama called ISIS jayvee, touted Yemen as a success story, and had a secretary of state who gave Russia a reset button.

Still, Walker remarked that Obama has the “audacity” to talk about schooling him on foreign policy.

“Why were the Iranians at the table in the first place? After nearly two decades of sanctions, they’re actually working. They’re not coming to the table out of the good nature of their hearts, trying to push for world peace; they’re coming to the table because they were being brought to their knees because of the sanctions of the United States and from our allies particularly in Europe,” Walker said.
