Jay Sekulow appeared on Fox News speaking about Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani’s lawyer facing jail in Iran. Mohamad Ali Dadkhah, has been convicted for representing clients in human rights cases. He is the attorney for Pastor Youcef and recently represented 12 Christians in a separate case. Dadkhah previously told the ACLJ that if he himself was placed in jail, “no attorney would be willing” to take Nadarkhani’s case out of fear of “being imprisoned or disbarred” for representing the Christian pastor.

It is the first time he has been allowed to make a public statement in nearly a year and the first time the world has heard from him since his execution order was upheld.

Youcef’s spirit in the face of his persecution is remarkable. He writes, “[T]hough my trial due has been so long, and as in the flesh I wish these days to end, yet I have surrendered myself to God’s will.”

The letter, which he sent to Present Truth Ministries, goes on to thank everyone who has been working, speaking out and praying on his behalf, saying:

“I do believe that these kind of activities can be very helpful in order to reach freedom, and respecting the human rights in a right way can bring forth great results in this. I want to appreciate all those are trying to reach to this goal.”

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani has written an open letter to “all those who are concerned” with his plight thanking them and asking for prayer. The letter written earlier this week is the first time in nearly a year that Pastor Youcef has been able to speak out publicly about his illegal imprisonment in Iran. He encourages the members of his congregation and supporters all over the world that he is in “perfect health” and urges them to continue having faith in God.

Read the Letter translated into English by Jason DeMars of Present Truth Ministries. It is so very touching.
