Already there is movement – some state governors and legislators are standing up to the tyranny of Obamacare. At least 16 Governor’s are Saying NO to ObamaCare!
One thing you need to know about our Governor is he is a Dermatologist. Bentley joined the United States Air Force in 1969 as a captain. He served as a general medical officer at Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He served as an interim hospital commander for 90 days near the end of his tenure.
This is ‘Paulie’ he was our mascot when states began to say NO to the HC Bill…
We in Alabama voted on Amendment 6 on the 6th. there were 674,585 and 59.52% of us said NO! Alabama was one of five states with similar proposals on the ballot. We voiced our opposition to the new national health care law, so can your state.
We at JUST Piper have been following the HC law for years, it began for me as a Freeper. Matter of fact I even had my first LIVE blog with IHEART radio host Paul Westcott, NH’s Talk Radio Host (WGIR & 96.7 The Wave) & Host of the Syndicated White House Brief. Back in March 2010.
FNC America’s Newsroom:
The single worst piece of legislation in my lifetime – Gov. Bentley
He goes onto say:
We cannot afford an insurance exchange. It would cost 50 million annually. It is NOT a foregone conclusion this law that was passed, will be implemented. I say it WILL go back before SCOTUS!
Florida Governor Rick Scott is among the few state executives
standing against centralized healthcare, stopping his state from walking further down “the road of serfdom.” Scott rightfully argues,
“This is just another government program where the federal government will run out of money and they’ll put it on the states again. We can’t afford it in Florida.”
Texas Governor Rick Perry has also refused to implement the Federal Healthcare law in his state, saying,
“I will not be party to socializing healthcare and bankrupting my state in direct contradiction to our Constitution and our founding principles of limited government.”
Oklahoma State Rep. Mike Ritze told Conbustible.com that he is planning on offering a bill to nullify Obamacare in his state. And in a press release he said,
“I disagree with the Supreme Court’s ruling and believe that state governments were intended to serve as a check on the federal government. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which is better known as ObamaCare, is an example of federal overreach and my legislation will authorize the state to resist it and ban the enforcement of it.”
Responding to this summer’s Supreme Court decision that declared Obamacare constitutional, Douglas Gibbs discusses the origins of the SCOTUS. In “Justice Roberts is Wrong, Nullify!” Gibbs writes:
“Despite liberal opinions that state the judicial branch was established to be a check against Congress, it was not, and in reality there were a number of delegates in the Constitutional Convention in 1787 that argued against the creation of the judicial branch in the first place. Once created, the judicial branch was expected to be the weakest of the three branches of government. It was the two Houses of Congress that were originally designed to be checks against each other. The House of Representatives was the voice of the people, the Senate was the voice of the States, and they checked each other, while working together to check the executive and judicial branches. As for the party or parties responsible for determining the constitutionality of federal law, that task falls upon the States, and the people. As the final arbiters of the Constitution, the States have the authority to ignore (nullify) unconstitutional laws. If the law is unconstitutional, then it is illegal, and therefore the States cannot be compelled to follow those laws.” (emphasis added)
Thomas Jefferson gave a sound warning when he said of Supreme Court Judges:
“to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy… The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal.”
“Eternal vigilance is the price of Liberty!”
Oh yah, what DID Sebelius have to say today? Read the bad news for yourself:
Obama administration moves forward to implement health care law, ban discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions
Of course MSM has a different spin on all of this:
— One of the most visible opponents of Obama’s overhaul, Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott, now says “if I can get to ‘yes,’ I want to get to ‘yes.’”
WASHINGTON (AP) — From the South to the heartland, cracks are appearing in the once-solid wall of Republican resistance to President Barack Obama’s health care law.
Ahead of a federal deadline Friday for states to declare their intentions, Associated Press reporters interviewed governors and state officials around the country, finding surprising openness to the changes in some cases. Opposition persists in others, and there is a widespread, urgent desire for answers on key unresolved details.
Patriots if we can get a million signatures on the WH petition to secede, we certainly can get our Governors to listen and read this post!
