He did not say what he should have and called the assasination of Americans in Libya and burning of our flag in Egypt a ‘ diplomatic challenge ‘. WTH?!

He was all about insulting Romney: Romney “seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later, all the while ‘shooting blanks himself!’

Then this travesty of a human goes on Telemundo which btw was broadcast on PMSNBC, “The Rachel Madcow Show.” Saying, get this:

“Making sure that we gather all the facts, making sure that we’re advancing American interests,” and not having ideological arguments on a day when we are mourning the loss of outstanding folks who have served our country very well.”

again…

He goes onto blab to the Telemondo interviewer, who btw called him that this was the first time since ’79 that a sitting Ambassador was murdered: we sank more than a billion dollars in aid to Egypt, tens of millions to Libya, is it time to reconsider foreign aide? And Obama’s asinine response?

Obama told Telemundo, this at a sensitive moment. “I don’t think that we would consider them an ally, but we don’t consider them an enemy,” he said. “I think it’s still a work in progress, but certainly in this situation, what we’re going to expect is that they are responsive to our insistence that our embassy is protected, our personnel is protected.”

Let me Repeat:

Obama told Telemundo, this at a sensitive moment. “I don’t think that we would consider them an ally, but we don’t consider them an enemy,” he said. “I think it’s still a work in progress, but certainly in this situation, what we’re going to expect is that they are responsive to our insistence that our embassy is protected, our personnel is protected.”

Obama offered a warmer view of Libya. The administration’s hope is to bring the perpetrators to justice by capturing them, Obama said.

Congress is poised to recess at the end of next week as vulnerable incumbents have convinced their leaders that their time is better spent at home campaigning than in Washington.

Having just returned from a five-week recess, the “Hello, I Must Be Going” strategy is not without risks, or controversy. Some members want to stay deep into September to pass lingering legislation, such as the farm bill.

Reid, who is protecting a thin majority, declared on the Senate floor Monday that this month’s schedule would be “very short and compact,” but did not say precisely when senators would leave town.

A Democratic aide said offices have been alerted unofficially that they would recess by Sept. 21. Reid has declined to set a date publicly to give himself more flexibility and keep GOP critics in the dark.

A spokesman for Reid did not respond to a request for comment.

and…

Reid set a Monday deadline for gathering the necessary votes to move the legislation before the Senate recesses for the elections, Kyl and Heller are now saying they believe the House needs to act first before the Senate takes up the issue.

“The key question is, does Senator Reid want the bill more, or does he want to elect his Democratic colleague more?” Kyl asked.

~ In conclusion Harry mouthed to his staff, take seven weeks off with pay from the dumbarse taxpayers who continue to reelect me…~ JP

The White House moved Tuesday to tamp down emerging claims that it had turned down an offer by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with President Obama later this month, with the two leaders talking by phone as Republicans seized on the reports.

Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said earlier they were “surprised and disappointed” by the initial reports:

“If these reports are true, the White House’s decision sends a troubling signal to our ally Israel about America’s commitment at this dangerous and challenging time, especially as Iran continues to work actively toward developing a nuclear weapons capability,” they said.

Israeli officials confirmed to Fox News earlier in the day that the White House had indeed brushed off such an offer. A White House spokesman also confirmed that Obama is not expected to meet with Netanyahu, citing scheduling conflicts.

But late Tuesday, the White House released a statement denying that any formal offer was made for a meeting in the capital — without saying whether an offer was made for a meeting elsewhere, like New York. “Contrary to reports in the press, there was never a request for Prime Minister Netanyahu to meet with President Obama in Washington, nor was a request for a meeting ever denied,” the statement said.

The White House went on to say that Obama had just gotten off an hour-long phone call with the prime minister “as a part of their ongoing consultations,” and that the two discussed the Iranian nuclear threat.

The unusual statement from the White House signaled the president’s team was acting quickly to contain the controversy. The seemingly chilly response to Netanyahu was already being interpreted as a snub among Israel’s biggest defenders — and it comes amid a state of heightened alert over Iran’s nuclear program and the possibility of Israeli action.

Aside from initial reports in Israeli media, Israeli sources described the meeting offer to Fox News. They said that Netanyahu, though he plans to be in New York City during his brief stay, was offering to travel to D.C. to make the meeting happen. However, the White House apparently said Obama’s tight schedule — the president is in the middle of a feverish campaign run — would make a meeting difficult.

White House spokesman Tommy Vietor confirmed to Fox News that Obama is not expected to meet with Netanyahu, though insisted it was just a scheduling problem. He said Obama will be at the United Nations on Sept. 24 and leave the following day, while Netanyahu won’t be in the city until later in the week.

Ultra-conservative protesters, as they refer to themselves, climbed the wall of the United States Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, tore down America’s flag and replaced it with a black flag. They claim to have done this in protest of a video attacking the Prophet Muhammad, apparently made by an anti-Islam activist in the US.

A statement from the US Embassy read, “The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions … Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

On Special Report, Charles Krauthammer reacted to the statement:

calling it “an embarrassment.” He said, “That’s a hostage statement. That’s a mob of Al Qaeda sympathizers in Egypt, forcing the United States into making a statement essentially of apology, on 9/11 of all days, for something of which we are not responsible. I would issue a statement saying to the mob, ‘go to hell.’ The way America works, the way democracy works, is that everybody has a right to express themselves.”

The US Embassy in Libya was also attacked today as well.

Juan Williams responded, “Ambassador Krauthammer […] We would stir the wars and the anger in the Islamic community for what? To simply say, hey listen, we understand this may have been offensive to some Muslims — that’s not by anyway backing down or an act of somehow cowardice on the part of the US government.”
