~ He’s JUST pissed off because Cardinal George stood up to him. How much of a bully are you Moreno when you attempt to discredit a Cardinal?! UnChristian because he is following the tenets of his archdiocese. What a jackass Moreno is! ~ JP

Chicago- Alderman Proco Moreno hit back at Chicago’s Cardinal George Thursday, calling him “un-Christian” after the Cardinal dismissed the Alderman’s actions against restaurant chain Chick-fil-A.

This past Sunday, Cardinal George took to his blog to officially weigh in on Chicago Alderman Proco Moreno’s open discrimination against Christian-owned fast-food chain, Chick-Fil-A, who had banned the restaurant from opening in “his ward”:

Recent comments by those who administer our city seem to assume that the city government can decide for everyone what are the “values” that must be held by citizens of Chicago. I was born and raised here, and my understanding of being a Chicagoan never included submitting my value system to the government for approval. Must those whose personal values do not conform to those of the government of the day move from the city? Is the City Council going to set up a “Council Committee on Un-Chicagoan Activities” and call those of us who are suspect to appear before it? I would have argued a few days ago that I believe such a move is, if I can borrow a phrase, “un-Chicagoan.”

The Chicago Tribune reported Moreno’s rebuttal:

“It’s unfortunate that the cardinal, as often happens, picks parts of the Bible and not other parts,” said Moreno, who added that he was raised Catholic in western Illinois, attended a Catholic grade school and was an altar boy. Moreno said he now occasionally attends church.

“The Bible says many things,” Moreno said. “For the cardinal to say that Jesus believes in this, and therefore we all must believe in this, I think is just disingenuous and irresponsible. The God I believe in is one about equal rights, and to not give equal rights to those that want to marry, is in my opinion un-Christian.”

Moreno’s response, impugning the Cardinal’s character, reveals just how desperate he is to defend his shaky stance. Moreno and Mayor Emanuel both now have made the claim that Chick-Fil-A doesn’t represent “Chicago values” and therefore should take their business elsewhere.

The last time I checked there is no same-sex marriage in Judaism and Islam either. I guess in Rahm and Moreno’s Chicago, Jews and Muslims don’t share “Chicago values” either. Excuse me for stereotyping, but perhaps Moreno will once again invoke “aldermanic privilege” to shut down all the gas stations in his ward unless the owners have a change of heart and decide to embrace radical LGBT organizations.

Or then again, maybe it’s just “un-Christians” who are “un-Chicagoan.”

In the midst of the controversy last week, Breitbart News uncovered just how well Moreno fits into the corrupt Chicago machine, by documenting how the Alderman may be violating FEC and IRS regulations by apparently misusing his public office to run campaign operations for himself and President Obama.

Retired Chicago cop Peter Bella of the Washington Times Communities goes further, and may have hit the nail on the head regarding the Moreno’s adamant defiance of what most Americans across the country recognize as a God-given right to open and conduct business while being protected by the First Amendment.

Bella writes that “if Chick-fil-A wrote a big check people would be stunned how fast Proco Joe could shove tasty chicken sandwiches down his gullet….”

Bella cuts to the heart of the matter—the heart of “Chicago values”—and writes from experience, as one who no doubt understands just how rampant the corruption Chicago has dealt with is, and with this controversy it seems no closer to ending. Moreno, abandoned by even the ACLU in this matter, continues to dig deeper into the heart of true Chicago values. We’ll keep watching.

BIG Government

I’d like to see Moreno tussle with Pastor Charles Lyons. He would lose! ~ JP

Representing the First Congressional District of Nevada since 1999, which includes most of the city of Las Vegas, including the Las Vegas Strip. She signed on to releasing convicted spy Pollard, as a co-signatory of a letter initiated by Rep. Barney Frank seeking a presidential pardon for Jonathan Pollard on the grounds that he has served enough time.

According to the Israeli publication Haaretz, in its online edition of 3/5/09; “Berkley, a Jewish politician well-known for her support of Israel, backed the Israeli operation in Gaza during December and January, and even told Haaretz that Israel may have been too tolerant.”

One may deduce that Shelley Berkley adheres to a liberal agenda. Interest groups such as Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America have given her a high grade. In 2008, her grade went from an A- to an A. For eight years Berkley was Sheldon Adelson’s (who, btw the liberals had a witch hunt for) “vice-president of legal and governmental affairs”.

Adelson fired Berkley in 1997, just months before she planned to begin a run for her first term in Congress. In a September, 1998, letter to the Review-Journal, Adelson wrote, “She violated attorney/client privilege and after two warnings, I decided to fire her. . . . Shelley Berkley attacks me in order to draw attention away from her own ethical lapses.”

She is among U.S. congressmen who are seeking to condition $900 million in aid for the Palestinians on ending Gazan rocket fire on Israel and the release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

One of the breakout standup routines from the late, great George Carlin was his 1972 monologue “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television.” In the presence of polite company, I shall not repeat them… but rest assured, the routine is still hilarious to this day.

I wish I could say the same about the Department of Homeland Security… I wish I could say this is all a big joke… that the government’s “377 words you can never use online” is just some stupid comedy routine.

But it’s not. And you just can’t make this stuff up.

After vigorous resistance, the Department of Homeland Security was finally forced into releasing it’s 2011 Analyst’s Desktop Binder. It’s a manual of sorts, teaching all the storm troopers who monitor our Internet activity all day which key words to look for.

Facebook, a.k.a. the US government’s domestic intelligence center, is the primary target for this monitoring… though it’s become clear so many times before that various departments, including the NSA and FBI, are monitoring online activity ranging from search terms to emails.

Domestic spying is typically denied in public and swept under the rug. After all, it’s legality has always been questionable… if not entirely Unconstitutional.

Yet it seems that month after month there is new legislation introduced to deprive Internet users of their privacy and make the open collection of data a natural part of the online landscape.

Homeland Security’s key word ‘hotlist’ is really no surprise… they’re just the ones to get caught.

According to the manual, DHS breaks down its monitoring into a whopping 14 categories ranging from Health to Fire to Terrorism. It’s a testament to how bloated the department’s scope has become.

Afterwards there is a list of 377 of key terms to monitor, most of which are completely innocuous. Exercise. Cloud. Leak. Sick. Organization. Pork. Bridge. Smart. Tucson. Target. China. Social media.

Curiously, in its ‘Critical Information Requirements’, the manual decrees that analysts should also catalog items which may “reflect adversely on DHS and response activities.”

Absolutely unreal. Big Brother is not just watching. He’s digging, searching, reading, monitoring, archiving, and judging too.

Have you hit your breaking point yet?

Each word that has been posted here … They must have a daily field day with JUST Piper, wait a minute, I KNOW they do:

STOP! STOP! I cannot keep going down this ridiculous list! By the time I got to ‘leak’, I had only seen 4-5 ‘words’ that are not on this website. Are you kidding me?! They may as well add And, But, If and you are an arse to this invasion of our rights!

I checked in the dictionary and they left out 3 english language words but I’m not saying what they are because I plan to create a system of communication using numbers and those three words. I’ll check back in later when I’m finished. I don’t know about you but I already feel safer. – Bob

So, what are they going to do with the list? I’m on their list due to the nomenclature of my occupation and interests. It is an invasion of privicy! What can be done about it? Maybe recomend some more words be added – like voter fraud, lobbiest, kick back, extended vacation, sticking it to taxpayers – John

JUST Piper says add these two:

Here we go again!!! I’m probably on another list for this comment.

I’m going to provide you first with links that esplain Missy Laura…

* First off she made the Judicial Watch 2011 list ~ Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” A freshman to the list she is in hot water for reportedly misusing her congressional staff for personal and political gain. Rep. Richardson is now under investigation by the House Ethics Committee regarding allegations by former staff member Maria Angel Macias. Macias alleges that she was required by Richardson to order other staffers to run personal errands for the Democrat congresswoman – such as picking up her dry cleaning – and to work on her re-election campaign at taxpayer expense.

* In a profile I did on her last November, it gives you all the background you need to know she’s a ravin’ lunatic socialist.

And now she gets a WhoopDeeDoo reprimand. Kinda like the laughable censure of Charlie ‘Tuna’ Rangel who IS the poster child of corruption.

So big deal the House has officially reprimanded California Democrat Laura Richardson for forcing her congressional staff to do campaign work and violating codes of conduct for government service.

The reprimand comes with a $10,000 fine. (Which she will no doubt pilfer from her election donations). It’s another blow to the three-term lawmaker’s uphill re-election race against fellow Democratic Rep. Janice Hahn.

Richardson has admitted to all seven counts levied against her and agreed to accept the reprimand.

The Ethics Committee report said Richardson compelled employees in her Long Beach office to do campaign work after their workday and sought to influence the testimony of staff members by suggesting they tell the committee their campaign work had been voluntary.

Too bad only another democrat is running against her. Too bad a tea party candidate didn’t challenge her for the 37th district. You get a progressive no matter which way you turn. But on the left coast it would be climbing a mountain. WTG Long Beach! ~ JP

Yesterday on the Senate floor, Sessions delivered remarks on the decision of the United States to release a terrorist who murdered an Alabama soldier into Iraqi custody, the possible release of that terrorist by the Iraqi government, and the failure of the U.S. to secure an extradition agreement so he would face punishment for his acts of war and murder.

This undated file photo released by the U.S. Army shows U.S. Army Pvt. Johnathon M. Millican, of Trafford, Ala., who was killed in Iraq, Jan. 20, 2007. Millican will be awarded the Silver Star, according to his father, Mitchell, who got the call, Tuesday July 3, 2007, saying the award will be presented to Millican’s widow, Shannon, sometime in the next two weeks. Died January 20, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom

20, of Trafford, Ala.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska; died Jan. 20 in Karbala, Iraq, from wounds sustained when his patrol was ambushed while conducting dismounted operations. Also killed were Lt. Jacob N. Fritz, Spc. Johnathan B. Chism and Pfc. Shawn P. Falter.

Alabama soldier among 4 slain in sneak attack

The Associated Press

LOCUST FORK, Ala. — An Alabama soldier was among four U.S. soldiers abducted and killed during a sneak attack in Iraq that was confirmed by the Pentagon on Jan. 26, but the military apparently did not tell his wife and family about the abduction at first.

Army Pfc. Johnathan Millican, 20, a 2005 graduate of Locust Fork High School, was among the four listed as being abducted and killed in the Jan. 20 strike in Karbala.

While Millican’s family and friends initially understood from the military that the troops died in an ambush, the Pentagon said Jan. 26 that the four were abducted in a sophisticated attack and then killed.

Ali Musa Daqduq

May 2010 Daqduq, who U.S. military officials claim is a Hezbollah commander, had been imprisoned by U.S. forces in Iraq for leading a team that kidnapped and killed five U.S. soldiers in Iraq in January 2007. Twenty-one senators had drafted last December a letter urging the administration not to hand him over out of concern that the Iraqi government might release him.

When alleged terrorist Ali Musa Daqduq was transferred from U.S. to Iraqi custody last December, many in Washington worried that the Iraqi government would release him back to the battlefield. This week, Daqduq was acquitted in an Iraqi court and now the administration is trying to figure out how to keep him behind bars.

“Failure to transfer Daqduq to Guantanamo Bay or another American military-controlled detention facility outside the United States before December 31st will result in his transfer to Iraqi authorities, potential release to Iran and eventual return to the battlefield,” the senators wrote in the letter, which was never sent because the administration handed over Daqduq first, on Dec. 16.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01) spoke on the House floor about justice in the Department of Justice. He stated, “Justice is supposed to be blind. That’s why the statue that depicts justice holding the scales of justice is blinded because justice is blind if it’s real justice. And if justice is not blind, if we’re looking to whom it is and politically what the consequences will be, it’s not justice.”
