We’re putting money on the fact that you’ll find this as touching as we did. Take a look at what happened when hundreds of strangers waiting for their flights at a D.C. airport greet World War II vets deplaning their own “Honor Flight” with a huge applause. The veterans were cheered as they walked down a path made for them by the crowd.

“It was just an outstanding day,” said one of the vets, Ed Cavanaugh. “It was the day of a lifetime, to be honest with you. The people who run the [Honor Flights] … are the finest group of people I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. The trip that day was unreal.”

Yesterday marked the 68th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.

Take a look at this emotional video:

Barack Obama was, in fact, a member of the socialist New Party in the 1990s and sought its endorsement for the Illinois senate–contrary to the misrepresentations of Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008, and in spite of the efforts of Politico’s Ben Smith to quash the story. Stanley Kurtz, author of Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism (2010), has released new “smoking gun” evidence at National Review Online.(MUST Read). It is evidence that the mainstream media can no longer ignore–and Obama can no longer deny.

NOTE: On the first point, the New Party was a attempt to build a model of political fusion. It dissolved after losing a Supreme Court ruling aimed at making fusion — a system under which more than one party can run the same candidate, which exists in some states — universal. See: Working Families Party is a New York based, leftist political party

When the story of Obama’s association with the New Party first broke in 2008, Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt claimed that Obama had never been a member. (LaBolt likewise told the New York Times that Obama had “not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Mr. Obama began serving in the United States Senate in January 2005″–a statement that carefully concealed the truth that Obama had spent time in Ayers’ home after he began serving in the Senate.) The Obama campaign took up the issue at its “Fight the Smears” website, smearing Kurtz and willfully distorting the truth about Barack Obama’s radical past:

Right-wing hatchet man and conspiracy theorist, Stanley Kurtz is pushing a new crackpot smear against Barack falsely claiming he was a member of something called the New Party.

But the truth is Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party. In all six primary campaigns of his career, Barack has has run as a Democrat. The New Party did support Barack once in 1996, but he was the only candidate on the ballot in his race and never solicited the endorsement.

Ben Smith of Politico wrote a classic “nothing to see here” story, taking LaBolt and New Party founder Joel Rogers at their word. The rest of the mainstream media, eagerly covering up for–and campaigning for–Obama, took Smith’s report as the definitive “debunking” of the New Party “smear” and failed to look further. The mocking tone of Smith’s article (“The dread New Party”) put the topic beyond the pale of polite debate.

Now, through careful archival research, Kurtz has proven his case–and proven once again that there are many people on the left who have been willing to misrepresent and obscure facts about Barack Obama, as well as many in the mainstream media who have acted as Obama’s accomplices rather than searching for the truth.

Kurtz writes:

Minutes of the meeting on January 11, 1996, of the New Party’s Chicago chapter read as follows:

Barack Obama, candidate for State Senate in the 13th Legislative District, gave a statement to the membership and answered questions. He signed the New Party “Candidate Contract” and requested an endorsement from the New Party. He also joined the New Party.

Consistent with this, a roster of the Chicago chapter of the New Party from early 1997 lists Obama as a member, with January 11, 1996, indicated as the date he joined…

The revelation in 2008 that Obama had joined an ACORN-controlled, leftist third party could have been damaging indeed, and coming clean about his broader work with ACORN might easily have exposed these New Party ties. Because the work of ACORN and the New Party often intersected with Obama’s other alliances, honesty about his ties to either could have laid bare the entire network of his leftist political partnerships.

Obama was not the only one who lied, according to Kurtz:

Although Obama is ultimately responsible for deceiving the American people in 2008 about his political background, he got help from his old associates. Each of the two former political allies who helped him to deny his New Party membership during campaign ’08 was in a position to know better.

Julie Lassa 24th District since a special election in April 2003. She had no business even making her statement and fleeing. She should not even be in office! Check out what I found with a little digging from June 2009.

Wisconsin State Senator Julie Lassa used state employees and taxpayer dollars to run her political campaigns, and has still not been held accountable for betraying the public trust by lying to voters and cheating taxpayers.

The Scandal of State Senator Julie Lassa’s Coverup

Her homepage is mighty barren. She is asking for support for REelection. So far she has raised a paltry 47,743 and I’d lay money on it is from BIG Unions JUST like the other runaway bride #1, Chris Larson. The largest portion of these donations, $21,305.87 going to Stopping the GOP Recall of the Wisconsin 14! Ironic, considering their recall effort to oust Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch.

Interesting are her TOP fundraisers:

* Progressive Change Campaign Committee and Democracy for America whose mission is:

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) is an organization powered by our members that builds long-term progressive power. We elect bold candidates to Congress and mobilize around progressive policy priorities. Our recent work includes leading the Draft Elizabeth Warren for Senate movement, working to win two recall elections against Wisconsin Republicans, supporting the 99% movement and Wall Street accountability, and pushing Congress to tax the rich while protecting programs like Social Security and Medicare.

Check out their ‘candidate’ directory

Her list of questionable fundraising pages is a WHO’s WHO of Progressive Socialists.

* Fight back in Wisconsin by Democracy for America that raised 954,966 to oust Walker and has 37,737 Supporters. But they had the audacity to say we won because of money?!

Democracy of America is endorsed by, you ready for this?

* Elizabeth Warren (MA-Sen)

* Alan Grayson (FL-09)

* Raul Grijalva (AZ-07)

* For Alabamians, Christian Smith (AL – Mobile County Treasurer)

The socialist agenda roster is endless. The Founder is none other then Governor Howard Dean.

Right-wing Gov. Scott Walker and Citizens United may have won last night — but this was a step forward for progressives.

* Another Top fundraiser is none other then the Daily Kos with their pet project, Orange to Blue 2012. Their mission is to elect strong, progressive Democrats in key Senate seats and House. districts in 2012. Visiting this leftist liberal rag, they do not tout Orange to Blue 2012. But this list tells their agenda.

* Where we would be without MoveOn.org. This is a sample of were their dirty fingers lie:

Support these Wisconsin heroes. The Wisconsin 14—the brave Democratic state senators who left the state to stop the Republican attacks on workers

* Americans for Progress under any other name AKA Center for Center for American Progress @ americanprogress.org/. America for Progress per say does not even exist. The FB page led to dead link and the so-called founder , DARIUS TULLIS, Union, NJ gave a whopping $7 to camPAIN 2012. Who cares? It all comes down to Soros funding. Period. George Soros promised to financially support the organization by donating up to three million dollars in 2003 & he is still backing them, Think Progress and Open Society til this day.

* Another questionable supporter of Julia is Raj Shukla of Progressive Majority Wisconsin who raised $5,014. But I am hard pressed to find anything connecting a Raj Shukla to this organiztion which is an offshoot of Progressive Majority. Whose mission is to elect progressive champions. We accomplish this by identifying and recruiting the best progressive leaders to run for office; coaching and supporting their candidacies.

So are you seeing the pattern? State Senator like someone else we know. As crooked as the ‘progressives’ in ‘our house’. How this all comes full circle from the Mayor of Chicago up to POTUS. How it’s like connecting every little dot and finding more corruption. That is what happens in hunting for ‘The Truth’. How the Unions need to go. The proof is in the puddin’.

* I leave you with one last supporter of Julia. Wisconsin Recalls Democracy Dive by Wisconsin Teachers. ‘Dive’ being symbolic to me. On their low grumbling teacher wages they managed to contribute 8,400 between 165 of them. Problem is this is all under the umbrella of Act Blue whose motto is ‘ The online Clearing House for Democratic Action. A search on the teachers turned up nothing.

So sometimes friends, it is not always what you unearth but the silence of empty searches speaks volumes.

Sep 12, 2010:

She Chairs the Economic Development for the Wisconsin State Legislature:

She not only looks evil. She IS Evil…

She has two challengers to square off against to determine who will try to defeat Sen. Julie Lassa for the state’s 24th Senate District seat.

Though Lassa has represented the district since 2003 and won about 68 percent of the vote in her 2008 election, Noble and Abrahamson see an opportunity for a Republican victory. Voters are upset that Lassa fled the state last year in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill, the two candidates said, which stripped collective bargaining powers from most public workers. They also see her opposition to a mining bill as a place they can win over voters.

“There are some key issues that she hasn’t been too receptive to,” said Noble, 43.

“It’s very frustrating hearing Julie Lassa talk about how she’s all about jobs,” Abrahamson said. “She ran from hers, and she voted on party lines to shoot down those jobs (the mining bill would have brought).”

The primary is Aug. 14, and the general election is Nov. 6.

She has to go my friends, the Wisconsin Tea Party needs to get behind one of these candidates. Scott Kenneth Noble and Steve Abrahamson who said ” When faced with a challenge, I will not Run”. The GOP NEEDS to do what they did for Scott Walker and pump those funds into defeating Lassa. ~ JP

So Where are they Now? If you don’t think or know their little foray to Illinois was BIG UNION, your not paying attention! They are posted in order of the poster.

1. Chris Larson (7th Senate District) who has an interesting list of supporters:

AFSCME District Council 48
Amalgamated Transit Union 998, MCTS Drivers & Employees
American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Local 212, MATC Faculty & Staff
Clean Wisconsin Action Fund
Plumbers Union Local 75
Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
Teaching Assistants’ Association, UW-Madison Graduate Employees
United Auto Workers
United Transportation Union

From Chris after their defeat yesterday: Posted ChrisJLarson:Time to take a step back and look at where we are. Walker had different fundraising rules to play by and with and The movement started by the people of Wisconsin is far from over. We have much more to do and our future is at stake

2. Timothy Cullen representing the 15th District since 2011.During the protests in Wisconsin, Cullen, along with the 13 other Democratic State Senators, fled the state.

Senator Timothy F. Cullen failed to fulfill his Constitutional duty by hiding out in Illinois with 13 other Democrat Senators in order to avoid a vote on The Budget Repair Bill in March, 2011. Chapter IV, Section 11 of the Wisconsin State Constitution states:

“The legislature shall meet at the seat of government at such time as shall be provided by law, unless convened by the governor in special session, and when so convened no business shall be transacted except as shall be necessary to accomplish the special purposes for which it was convened.”

Notice it states, “shall meet” and not “may meet”, and absolutely, Not in a resort in Northern Illinois.

Our singular mission is to recall Timothy F. Cullen from the Wisconsin State Senate

Fourteen Wisconsin state senators are on the lam, hiding from police trying to return them to Madison

3. Dave Hansen (30th Dist.) since 2001. July 2011, he handily won recall election, giving Democrats a victory in the first of nine contests being held this summer. The first of the Wisconsin 14 has survived.

Two more Democrats and six Republicans in the state Senate still face recall elections in the next month, campaigns that are attracting gobs of national money and that could flip the narrowly divided, GOP-controlled chamber.

Wisconsin outcome signals opportunity for Romney

4. Fred Risser ( 26th district ) Assumed office December, 1962. He is (age 85). Come on now R E T I R E! Your a quitter anyway.

May 2011:

Wisconsin’s state Senate has probably generated more headlines in the past four months than any time in state history.

Democratic senators skipping town for weeks, warrants issued for their arrest, recall elections for up to nine senators and the disintegration of decorum for even routine business. And this is in the Legislature’s more formal, “deliberative” body.

“You’re not following the rules, Mister President,” Risser yelled.

Ellis shouted back: “Read the book!”

Wisc. Sen. Fred Risser, one of 14 Democrats in hiding to avoid a budget vote, now faces possible detainment by police.

5. Jim Holperin 12th District. Previously, he was Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism . You can’t make this stuff up folks. Mayhaps he was responsible for booking the errant 14’s stay in Rockford? As a true Tree Hugger, in 1994 Jim was hired as Executive Director of Trees For Tomorrow. He is such a conscientious politician that his website has not been updated since July 2011.

He is such a honey that he was also under a ‘Recall’ successfully defending his state senate seat .

I found two senators who fled Wisconsin down in Rockford at the Clocktower Inn and here is the video I captured of both of them. Their names are: Robert Jauch and Jim Holperin.

TP Member David Hale {Rockford,Il.} Confronts AWOL Wisc. Dems

6. Jon Erpenbach 27th District. Erpenbach was first elected to the state senate in 1998 and re-elected in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

Here’s Jon’s take on the failure to Recall Walker Whining It’s been about the Benjamins. Lord help me:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Waa Waa Waa

State Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D-Middleton) just took to the stage at the downtown Hilton and told supporters of Mayor Tom Barrett that, despite The Associated Press and several networks calling the race for Gov. Scott Walker, that Barrett was still in it because many votes had not yet been counted.

Democrats said they remain confident the party will come out on top during the election.

Voters in four Wisconsin Senate districts have recall races of their own. Democrats said they have the strongest chance of defeating either Sen. Terry Moulton (R-Chippewa Falls) or Sen. Van Wanggaard (R-Racine), or picking up a vacant Wausau area seat. Democrats are fielding former Rep. Kristin Dexter against Moulton and former Sen. John Lehman against Wanggaard. Democratic Rep. Donna Seidel and Republican Rep. Jerry Petrowski are facing off for the open state senate seat.

Following the 2011 recall elections, Democrats closed the Senate gap to one seat shy of the majority, with Galloway’s resignation causing a tie in the chamber. The tie caused Fitzgerald and Senate Democratic Leader Mark Miller (D-Monona) to become co-leaders pending Tuesday’s election.

If Democrats retake the Senate with Walker remaining in the governor’s mansion, the victory may be hollow.

CORRECTION: This article was updated to reflect that Donna Seidel, not Kristin Seidel, is running for the Wisconsin State Senate.

Attorney General Eric Holder frustrated his most fierce Capitol Hill accuser and other GOP lawmakers Thursday when asked about the Justice Department’s Fast and Furious weapons sting and which high-ranking Obama administration officials knew about the botched operation.

~ Issa has HAD IT! He told Barbara she is ‘out of order’

Holder sidestepped questions by GOP Rep. Darrell Issa about whether he or other Justice Department officials had even started to pull together Fast and Furious documents requested in an October 2011 subpoena Issa sent the agency.

“Nothing has come from your department, not a shred of paper,” Issa said tersely during a House Judiciary Committee meeting.

Issa to AG Holder: Who Is Responsible for Operation Fast & Furious?

The requests were largely related to an ill-conceived and executed Fast and Furious tactic known as “gunwalking,” which has been linked to the 2010 death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

“You are not a good witness,” Issa said in frustration, after Holder essentially repeated his questions.

When admonished for not letting Holder answer questions and taking a sharp tone, Issa replied, “I applaud there was hostility,” frustrated he had only five minutes to ask questions.

Issa has vowed to hold Holder in contempt of Congress for failing to respond to the subpoena. Holder has testified he has given congressional investigators the requisite information.

On Monday, Issa released information about six wiretap applications that he says prove high-ranking Justice Department officials knew about the gunwalking tactic.

Issa says the applications were signed by Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, Holder’s second in command.

“We now know … inappropriate tactics were used in an attempt to stem the flow of illegal guns across the Southwest border,” he said Thursday in opening remarks. “Although these law enforcement operations … were focused on the laudable goal of dismantling illegal gun trafficking networks, they were flawed in both concept and execution.”

In another tense exchange Thursday, GOP Rep. Lamar Smith asked Holder whether he or anybody else told the White House about so-called “gunwalking tactic” after it appeared to contribute to the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, Holder replied “I don’t know.”

The exchange occurred during a hearing held by the House Judiciary Committee, on which Smith is the chairman.

“When was anyone in the White House informed of the tactics used under Operation Fast and Furious?” asked Smith, R-Texas.

Holder replied: “I don’t know.”

When Smith asked Holder if he personally told the White House, Holder replied: “There was contact between staff. .. I don’t myself remember any direct contact.”
