Let me introduce all of you fans of JUST Piper, to my beautiful granddaughter Taylor. This Category is new and hers. Tay knows firsthand, sadly, what bullying is from the schools she attended. She is my first child/grandchild to have an activist heart. She has taken her pain and became an advocate to ‘Bullying’ on Facebook. She was forced into leaving the public school system and objectively I can say she is a brilliant child now being home schooled.
This forum is for her, other kids suffering through bullying and parents/grandparents who need to know the signs:
Dear Readers,
Hi,my name is Taylor . My feelings for the music video “Perfect” redone by the band Ahmir is it really spoke to me about bullying. I was already against bullying and trying to prevent it as much as I can,but this song and video made it stronger. I ask myself many times,”Why are people so cruel?”, I mean what kind of person would do such a thing? No one knows what someone goes through until they step into their shoes. A bully may bully for three reasons.
1.Because of domestic problems
2.Trying to fit in
3.Trying to keep the attention off of them if they’re getting bullied
Bullying is hard to go through, but stay strong and don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask for help. Even though it may not seem like it,there is. And remember to unite as one!
~ The video Taylor chose to profile today is by Pink but with the group AHMIR (1,163,107 views) doing the cover as an Anti-Bullying video. It is introduced by popular actress Tichina Arnold ( Who I’m sure you all know ), who is a child advocate for the PTA and comedian actress, Jessica Kirson, an Anti=Bullying advocate for the Make Laughter Count Foundation (She is VERY funny, I have seen her).
Teenagers and kids who are bullied often feel like they are all alone and have no where to turn. If you see someone being bullied, reach out and let them know it’s going to be ok. Just being there for someone will give them hope and change their life more than you know. Take a stand against bullying. The world is better when we’re all friends and not enemies.

~ I understand many of you struggle with the ‘gay’ issue, but THIS is not about that, please keep an open mind. This is about teens who are cruelly taunted because of their sexual orientation. Teens should not have to feel that suicide is the only way to cope with that! Narrow minds on this issue translate to our children. They learn it in the home, then go on to taunt the kids at school. You may JUST be arming your kids with bigotry, sexism etc. and not even know they are doing it.

~ I ask you to think hard before you express your strong opinions around your children/grandchildren. Prejudice is learned behavior and you can be hurting them more than you know. Let them grow to form their own opinions not to cut themselves in pain or look for what they believe is the only way out – Suicide. Make sure you child is not only not being bullied but that they are not the Bully’s. Taylor, I am so proud of you! ~ JP
