Across the nation, 33 members of Congress have helped direct more than $300 million in earmarks to dozens of public projects for work in close proximity to commercial and residential real estate owned by the lawmakers or their family members.

Under the ethics rules Congress has written for itself, this is both legal and undisclosed.

Included in this report not only is one of my Senators, RINO Senator Shelby but my piece of nothing congress critter Aderholt! No surprise on either for me.

JUST like it is for another piece of nothing who needs to be fired in my adopted state Spencer Bachus.

When we look at ALL the crooks in Congress, I’m thinking Congress, The Senate and the President ALL need to be F I R E D! You see I hate all the leftist crooks but nothing gets my craw as much as the GOP thugs! If every American citizen would simply come to this realization, we can show all these fake legislator’s what bi=partisan is all about. You’re Fired!

Sure we all know about the piggie’s and their pork barrel, but the insult seems even more offensive because it is done in their own hood. FOR their own hood. Connections and family nepotism is flaunted in our face, as with Shelby’s wife. Have you wondered why so many have decided not to run for reelection or are retiring. I have, and it means every one of them are getting caught up in their scandals. Trying to ‘retire’ them so to speak.

I don’t know why they are worried. Nothing, zilch ever happens to them. The three executive branches have all gone to hell in a hand basket. Nearly 98% of the 535 members are useless and have made this country Fail!

Of the 33 revealed in this investigation they sure had bi=partisan cooperation in sharing pork.

We already know about crooks:

* Joe Barton – (R – Tex.) Earmark near personal property: $3 million

* Rep. Corrine Brown (D – Fla.) Spending with family connections: $16.9 million

* Rep. Danny K. Davis (D – Ill.) Earmark near personal property: $800,000

* Rep. Norm Dicks (D – Wash.) Spending with family connections: $16.8 million

* Sen. James M. Inhofe (R – Okla.) Earmark near personal property: $1.8 million

* THIS one pains me: Rep. Darrell Issa (R – Calif.) Earmark near personal property: $815,000

* Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D – Tex.) Spending with family connections: $5.3 million

* Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D – Ill.) Spending with family connections: $2.5 million

* Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R – Alaska) Earmark near personal property: $6.9 million

* Rep. Ed Pastor (D – Ariz.) Spending with family connections: $4 million

* Hey BIG Spender: Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D – Calif.) Earmark near personal property: $50 million

* Sen. Harry M. Reid (D – Nev.) Earmark near personal property: $21.5 million

* Rep. Bobby L. Rush (D – Ill.) Spending with family connections: $290,663

* Rep. Linda T. Sánchez (D – Calif.) Earmark near personal property: $475,000

The ONLY thing I cannot phantom is how are so many of them NOT mentioned in this investigation. The main thing in this report stressed is Shelby as if he he is the biggest loser (Earmark near personal property: $114,000) when what he earmarked was a pittance compared to many of them, but that did not stop WP from highlighting his antics the most. WP would do good to float the punks in a carousel so they all get their claim to shame!

The Post analyzed public records on the holdings of all 535 members and compared them with earmarks members had sought for pet projects, most of them since 2008. The process uncovered appropriations for work in close proximity to commercial and residential real estate owned by the lawmakers or their family members. The review also found 16 lawmakers who sent tax dollars to companies, colleges or community programs where their spouses, children or parents work as salaried employees or serve on boards.

GRAHAM, Wash. (AP) — Josh Powell planned the house fire that killed him and his young sons for some time, dropping toys at a charity over the weekend and sending final emails to several acquaintances in the minutes before the blaze, authorities said Monday.

The three bodies were found in the central part of the house, which is about 45 miles south of Seattle, authorities said.

Troyer said Josh Powell sent emails to several people saying, “I’m sorry. Goodbye.” To others, including his cousins and pastor, he sent longer emails, with instructions such as where to find his money and how to shut off his utilities.

In at least one email, he wrote that he couldn’t live without his boys, Troyer said.

But, he added, “There’s no indication about Susan in anything that we’ve found so far.”

“He had taken boxes of toys and books and donated them to the goodwill sometime over the weekend,” Troyer said. “So this was definitely a deliberate, planned-out event.”

But nowhere does he appear to have revealed what happened to his wife, Susan Powell, who vanished from their Utah home two years ago.

GRAHAM, Wa. – Days after a judge ruled against him in a child custody hearing, a father and his two young sons were killed Sunday when police said he intentionally blew up a house with all three inside — a tragic ending to a bizarre case that began more than two years ago when the man’s wife went mysteriously missing in Utah.

A social worker brought the two boys to Josh Powell’s home for what was to be a supervised visit, and Powell let his sons inside — but then blocked the social worker from entering, Graham Fire and Rescue Chief Gary Franz told The Associated Press.

The social worker called her supervisors to report that she could smell gas, and moments later the home exploded.

Sgt. Ed Troyer, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman, said emails that Powell sent authorities seemed to confirm that Powell planned the deadly blast. Troyer didn’t elaborate on the contents of the emails, but said they make police believe “this is intentional, this is planned…this is a double murder-suicide.”

Authorities were removing three bodies from the home Sunday evening as fire crews and police continued to search the rubble. Troyer said it appeared some sort of accelerant was used to make the house burn faster.

Jeffrey Bassett, who represented Powell in the custody case, said he received a brief email from his client just minutes before Powell and the two boys died. It said, “I’m sorry, goodbye.”

The email arrived at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, about 10 minutes before the explosion, but he didn’t see it until two hours later, when others told him Josh and the boys had been killed. He said he knew Josh was upset after being ordered to undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation recently, but he didn’t see this coming.

Powell was under investigation in the disappearance of his 28-year-old wife Susan from their West Valley City, Utah, home in December 2009. He claimed he had taken the boys on a midnight excursion in freezing temperatures when she vanished.

The children, 5-year-old Braden and 7-year-old Charles, had been living with Susan Powell’s parents since Josh Powell’s father, Steven, was arrested on child porn and voyeurism charges last fall. There were no accusations concerning Steven Powell and his grandchildren. Troyer said Steven Powell was put on suicide watch in custody after he was told of the deadly blast.

President Reagan launched his effort to return America to greatness with simple but profound words during his first inaugural speech, “In the present times Government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem.”

From there he put words into action passing historic tax cuts, cutting back on onerous government regulations and the results of the President’s free market policies: Growth, Prosperity, and Hope.

Happy Birthday President Reagan – we miss you!

He would be 101 years old today – if only he were still with us.

He may be gone, but he’s hardly forgotten.

We face many challenges as a nation today. But as we celebrate the birth of Ronald Reagan, it is important to note that these are not new challenges. Reagan faced similar problems, but believed that it could be “morning in America”. On this anniversary, we should honor him by recommitting ourselves to the conservative principles he championed.

Today marks President Ronald Reagan’s 101st birthday. Born in Tampico, Illinois, Reagan made his journey west to Iowa as a radio broadcaster, then on to California to take Hollywood by storm. He crossed America as a spokesman for General Electric, and then — after discovering the import of conservative values — entered the political arena, where he would ultimately lead his fellow citizens out of a wilderness of self-doubt, helping the country come to see that it could be morning in America once again.

We at The Heritage Foundation invite you to join us in celebrating Reagan’s life and legacy. For those of you on Facebook, click here to join the thousands of others who have already signed our virtual birthday card to President Reagan. Leave your message about what Reagan’s legacy means to you, share it with friends, and take part in this celebration today.

From his First Inaugural Address:

From time to time, we have been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. But if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price.

We hear much of special interest groups. Our concern must be for a special interest group that has been too long neglected. It knows no sectional boundaries or ethnic and racial divisions, and it crosses political party lines. It is made up of men and women who raise our food, patrol our streets, man our mines and our factories, teach our children, keep our homes, and heal us when we are sick—professionals, industrialists, shopkeepers, clerks, cabbies, and truckdrivers. They are, in short, “We the people,” this breed called Americans.

Madonna performing ‘Vogue’, ‘LMFAO’, “Open Your Heart”, “Express Yourself,” and “Like a Prayer” with Cee Lo Green. Madonna was also joined by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

Video begins with Madonna of Troy.

If you click full screen and turn up volume you will get the full feel of the performance in HD:

TO get rid of the annoying YT user link JUST click the ‘X’ in the middle of the video…

That’s right, the lone bit of controversy around the often provocative Madonna’s Super Bowl show will most likely have to do with the Sri Lankan singer briefly flipping off the camera. The otherwise slickly produced show went off without a hitch.

…bird-flipping M.I.A. MTV

~ I thought she looked great for 53 , my goodness. I love Cee Lo and enjoyed the half time show. Congrats to the NY Giants! There were shades of Gwen Stefani IMO. It’s rough when your music becomes elevator musak lol.

I think Madonna did not defy & have a controversial performance because she is having a hard time with her daughter being a teen ager and toned down what she may have done if she were not a mother. I like when she disappeared like the game show ‘ Who’s Still Standing ‘. Of course maybe it’s not right for a granny, but I was so happy to see LMFAO, they rock! I mean if not for my osteoarthritis in my knees, buddy, I woulda been ‘shufflin’. I was in my head and chir danced. :) I am not a fan of Nicki Minaj and I do not even know M.I.A. (nor do I care) I JUST watched Madonna. I have never truly cared for Madonna but have always liked her music.

Basically her dancing was sedate in comparison to in her youth. Maybe that’s why I enjoyed her more. I would have preferred to see GaGa or Katy Perry much more. The marching band elevated the performance to me. But even at our small town Christmas parade it is what I go to see.

The thing that much tickled me was when Cee Lo marched on stage and we were crackin’ up because the first thing that came to my mind, was Cee Lo reminded me of a weeble. I LOVE him but with his short stature and weight, I have always been afraid he may tip over. When he leans left or right I cringe.

My favorite performance was Like a Prayer. She was in her element and she even seemed most comfortable. (Thank goodness it was NOT like the video). Overall for once I liked the halftime show and give it :
