After already targeting immigration laws in Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina, Justice challenges law in Utah, arguing that under it, individuals could potentially be harassed and wrongfully detained.

The Department of Justice and other agencies filed a complaint Tuesday in Salt Lake City that challenges Utah’s immigration law, saying the state violates the U.S. Constitution due to its attempt to establish a state-specific immigration policy.

The department said the law mandates enforcement measures that can disrupt immigration practices by the federal government in the area. The Justice Department also expressed concern that, under the law, individuals could potentially be harassed and wrongfully detained, according to a statement.

This is the second lawsuit filed against the law. Civil rights groups filed a lawsuit earlier this year, and a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order in May against House Bill 497. That bill requires people arrested for serious crimes to prove their citizenship but gives police discretion to check citizenship for lesser crimes.

~ The D.C. shows it is working: Unemployment drops as Alabama’s immigration reform enacted:

Unemployment rates have fallen in Alabama amid new legal pressure on companies to comply with a popular immigration reform law.

September was the first full month that the reform was in force, and the unemployment rate fell from 9.8 percent in September to 9.3 percent in October, according to a Nov. 18 report from the state government.

The rates fell from 9.9 percent to 9 percent in Etowah County, from 8.8 percent to 8.1 percent in Marshall county, and from 11.6 percent to 10.6 percent in DeKalb county.

“The latest fall in unemployment numbers is proof that American citizens will work, and continues to solidify [the evidence] that self-deportation [by illegal immigrants] due to the Alabama Taxpayer & Citizen’s Protection Act is occurring,” said Chuck Ellis, a city council member in Albertville — the main town in Marshall County, northern Alabama.

Since the law’s bipartisan approval in June, it has been furiously criticized by progressives, including leaders in ethnic interest groups, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez and other leading officials in the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. These critics say the law’s implementation violates civil rights.

~ This JUST yesterday from Char showing the above is in full force: Congress members hear impact of Alabama’s immigration law

Eleven members of the U.S. House of Representatives opposed to Alabama’s new immigration law visited Birmingham on Monday to hear stories from an illegal immigrant, a local lawman, school officials, and others about how the law has hurt them or their groups.

The congress members later attended a rally that drew more than 2,000 people for the launch of a national campaign called “One Family, One Alabama.” The campaign is aimed at repealing the state law — commonly called HB56 for its bill number.

At the rally and hearing, people called Alabama’s law the most severe state immigration law enacted so far and said it has instilled fear among legal immigrants as well as illegal ones across the state.

h/t Richard D. Cushing:

But you’d never know that from reading the story in the Chicago Tribune. The name “Barack Obama” appears nowhere in this story reporting on the sentence received by one of the key figures in Obama’s life – a man who raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for his state senate and US senate runs, who introduced him to movers and shakers in the shadowy world of big money real estate wheelers and dealers, and who befriended him on numerous occassions, including the favor he did him when he purchased the lot next door to his current home.

Will anyone even ask Obama for a statement on the fate that has befallen his former friend?

Read on @ American Thinker

~ In typical Chicago thug mentality and Obama induced, ol’ Tony argues for time served…

Antoin “Tony” Rezko will finally be sentenced today, more than three years after his conviction for orchestrating a multimillion-dollar kickback scheme while serving as a top adviser and fundraiser to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Rezko opted to enter jail after his June 2008 conviction, but his sentencing was delayed because of the possibility that federal prosecutors would call him as a witness at other key trials connected to the probe of the Blagojevich administration, including the former governor’s retrial over the summer.

Rezko was never called to testify, but the years he stood ready to do so have become a key point of debate between his attorneys and prosecutors in recent court filings.

Rezko’s attorneys are asking he be sentenced to time served, while prosecutors are seeking a prison term of 11 to 15 years.

Read on…

Rezko was convicted by a federal jury of extorting millions of dollars from firms seeking state business or regulatory approval while he was a Blagojevich confidant. More than two years later, in October 2010, he pleaded guilty to wire fraud over the bogus sale of his pizza restaurants. He still faces sentencing for that conviction as well.

~ Turn back the time capsule, when the Alan Keyes campaign was trying to insure Obama did not win the senate…

In sharp contrast to his tough talk about ethics reform in government, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., approached a well-known Illinois political fixer under active federal investigation, Antoin “Tony” Rezko, for “advice” as he sought to find a way to buy a house shortly after being elected to the United States Senate.

The parcel included an adjacent lot which Obama told the Chicago Tribune he could not afford because “it was already a stretch to buy the house.”

On the same day Obama closed on his house, Rezko’s wife bought the adjacent empty lot, meeting the condition of the seller who wanted to sell both properties at the same time.

Jimmy Fallon’s “Late Night” bandleader decided to send Republican Presidential contender Michele Bachmann a musical message Monday night that has angered some women.

As Bachmann strode on to the NBC stage for Fallon’s late-night show, the program’s band, led by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, played a snippet of a 1985 Fishbone song called “Lyin’ Ass Bitch.”

The song begins with a distinctive “la la la la la la la la la” refrain — the only words that were audible before Bachmann, smiling and waving to the audience, sat down for her interview.

The song itself, about a relationship gone wrong, isn’t political, but it repeats the refrain “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” about a dozen times.

~ I give you some of the lyrics:

Shes just a…

Lalalala lalalalala

Youre nothing but a little lyin ass bitch !
You know she says she loves you but you know she doesnt
Youre nothing but a little lyin ass bitch !
You know she says she loves you but you know she doesnt
Youre nothing but a little lyin ass bitch !
You know she says she loves you but you know she doesnt
Youre nothing but a little lyin ass bitch !

It ends with…

The lyin, piss off, sack of shit
Slut trash can scumish
Dirt bag… biiiitch !

~ Lovely isn’t it? Normally I would not post such trash, but Fallon made it fair game doing this to Michele. I will never look at him the same way again & I once really liked him. NO MORE PUNK!

Real Video Example/Demonstration:

10-22-2011 Pushing Central Seucirty Forces back from Mohammed Mahmoud Street into Falaki street. We were being shot at with rubber bullets and tear gas mixed with nerve agents.

These men were using SWAT-style tactics to break through the line of armed police, and succeeded to do so without many casualties.

Many people are either new or relatively inexperienced to violent protests, and considering what is happening these days, you might want to get close to the action and see what is happening or maybe even join the fighting yourself. Before doing so, it’s essential to know how to do it right. If you take it lightly, you could end up seriously injured, incapacitated or even dead.

In this post I will go through how to prepare and protect yourself from attacks by the Central Security Forces (CSF) and the Military forces, as each uses different weapons and strategies.

Pre-Protest Preparation

Before entering a protest or battle you need to have the following things:

Essentials…

Scarf (palestinian-style) – To protect your neck and to coveryour face if needed.

Fully charged phone – Expect the worst

ID – In case you are injured or dead, people can identify you

Jeans/heavy pants – Protection for your legs/crotch

A thick jacket/top – Protection for your upper body

Something to cover your head such as a hooded shirt or beanie – Protection from rocks, batons or rubber bullets

Running shoes – You will run

Gas mask -Protection from deadly effects of tear/nerve gass. Full mask recommended or add swimming goggles to protect the eyes from gas, rocks and rubber bullets

Tissues

1 glove – {{{ To hold and throw gas canisters back at police without burning your hand }}}

Small water bottle

Additional items…

Spray paint – To spray the windshield of police/military cars or even in the face of any attackers

Coke/pepsi/other alkaline solution – To neutralize burning effects of tear gas

Before you enter the fight:

Plan your escape – Look for easy exit routes where you can run freely without getting stuck.

Plan your steps – Look around for areas where you can take cover and where people are getting hit to avoid ending up in the same place

Find the direction of the wind, this will be extremely useful when tear gas lands near you

Put your gas mask on, secure your scarf and clothes and go ahead

Opponent Tactics:

Weapons You Will Face…

CSF mainly use long batons/sticks, tear/nerve gas and shotguns (both live and rubber bullets). They also commonly throw rocks.

Military mainly use long batons/sticks, electric batons and assault rifles.

~ I cannot in good conscience post anymore of this crap. The following are highlights you can read…

– Tear Gas Tactics

– Shotgun tactics

– Assault Rifle Tactics

– Stone-throwing tactics

– Batons, Sticks and Electric Baton Tactics

Finally, always stay safe. Take your precautions well, never panick, always think quick before you move. If you don’t panick and take a moment to assess the situation so you can clear your mind, think fast and well and get to safety faster than everybody else.
