Delta adopts Saudi ‘no-Jew’ fly policy ~ Challenge to discrimination building as Congress, lawyers warned of plan

A U.S. lawmaker wants the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate allegations that Delta Airlines has entered into an agreement with Saudi Arabia that could prohibit American Jews from flying into the country – a charge the airline and the Saudi government vigorously dispute.

“I request your investigation into this matter to determine whether Delta Airlines violated U.S. law or regulation and to ensure no U.S. citizen is denied their right to fly solely on the basis of their religion,” Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk wrote in a letter to the head of the FAA.

The call for an investigation came as Delta responded to outrage about Saudi Arabian Airlines joining SkyTeam Alliance – of which Delta is a member. SkyTeam is a 14-member international airline alliance based in Amsterdam.

~ I have a bone to pick with Allman. In this video he says it doesn’t matter ‘how’ you get HepC. He could not be more wrong. Naomi Judd will tell you. Those of us who transmitted it from a life-saving blood transfusion would dispute it doesn’t matter. People look at you like you are nasty when they find out you have it. Now, if you got it boozing or from a junkie needle, I get what he means. But when it is through no fault of your own, well that’s a different story. Also Greg can get his transplant. He has the money. What about those of us who are innocent but cannot afford it or be lucky to have our names bumped up on a list? ~JP

UPDATE: Undisclosed, Closed-Door Meeting Delays Casey Trial

ORLANDO, Fla. — Casey Anthony’s murder trial on Saturday seems to be falling behind due to an undisclosed, closed-door meeting with the judge.

~ I will add to comments once I can find details. No one has it yet but per HLN Baez did yet another No-No & Jeff blew a gasket in regards to Jose once again, having witnesses testify to things they have NO business testifying about. I now have no doubt he is deliberately crafting a mistrial! ~JP

Casey Anthony’s defense team will continue presenting its case this morning in what will be an extended workday.

This morning’s proceedings will begin at 9 a.m. and should last until 3:30 p.m. — several hours longer than a routine Saturday.

It’s unclear who the defense will call to testify.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – June 23, 2011 (WPVI) — Action News got a first look at the wreckage from the crash of ‘Jackass’ star Ryan Dunn.

The charred remains of Dunn’s car now sit at a West Chester junkyard. The Porsche was reduced to a barely recognizable mass of twisted and charred metal.

Investigators say he was driving that Porsche between 132 and 140 miles at the time of the crash early Monday morning on Route 322 in West Goshen Township.

A toxicology report reveals Dunn’s blood alcohol level was .196, more than two times the legal limit.

Dunn, and 30-year-old Zachary Hartwell, were both killed in the wreck.

This can happen when a warm and cold weatherfront meet.

That creates this Cumulonimbus arcus. It’s impressive but don’t be scared of it. — RockTheOcean4me
