Former L.A. detective Mark Fuhrman “likes the way the prosecution has presented case” in the Casey Anthony trial. He compares the Anthony case to that of Scott Peterson, saying Peterson’s “conduct was stellar compared to Casey and they had little evidence and he still got death row.” But Fuhrman doesn’t think Anthony will avoid the death penalty and be sentenced to life without parole.

As prosecutors wrap up their case against Casey Anthony, Martha took a look back at some of the biggest moments of the trial and spoke to Geraldo about the battle facing the defense team after the presentation of compelling forensic and circumstantial evidence. Geraldo said that though jurors have only seen the prosecutor’s case thus far, “by the end of today, I don’t know if there will be many people in this country who believe Casey Anthony to be innocent – the question is whether or not she is guilty of capital murder.”

~ I tried to find the Geraldo interview this am on FOX & friends. He called Casey a slut. Not available.

Undersheriff: Montana Manhunt Target a Survivalist

David Burgert, 47, is the former leader of a Flathead County militia group known as Project 7, named for the number “7” on Flathead County license plates in Montana. Project 7 allegedly plotted to assassinate local officials, go to war with the National Guard and overthrow the federal government.

MISSOULA, Mont. – Authorities searching a 30-square-mile swath of rugged Montana forest for a former militia leader and survivalist say the man was prepared for his shootout with sheriff’s deputies and left several caches of food in the area.

OBAMA CZAR REVEALS AGENCIES REFUSE TO IDENTIFY JOB SMOTHERING RED TAPE by Jim Kouri

“We learned today that the Obama administration’s much celebrated regulatory reform simply does not exist amongst the independent agencies,” said Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Stearns.

In its ongoing effort to fight burdensome regulations and protect jobs, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations this week examined the Obama administration’s attempts at regulatory reform. During a startling exchange, Obama regulatory czar Cass Sunstein revealed that the administration’s independent agencies (Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, etc), have refused to participate in the effort to identify job smothering regulations.

Glenn Beck: Cass Sunstein – infiltrate!

“Cass Sunstein has favored the government using outside parties as government propaganda agents to paint their opposition as fringe and undermine their credibility.”

Writing on January 15, 2010, Glenn Greenwald at Salon noted Barack Obama’s new head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, had championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc.

Team Obama Making Electricity Rates Necessarily Skyrocket 60%

Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years.

The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation’s electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered. The increases are expected to begin to appear in 2014, and policymakers already are scrambling to find cheap and reliable alternative power sources. If they are unsuccessful, consumers can expect further increases as more expensive forms of generation take on a greater share of the electricity load…

Barack Obama: “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” (January 2008)

WASHINGTON — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is giving significant new powers to its roughly 14,000 agents, allowing them more leeway to search databases, go through household trash or use surveillance teams to scrutinize the lives of people who have attracted their attention.

A Wisconsin democrat running in a recall election left a message on a woman’s answering machine. The democrat said he ought to smack her around in a message he didn’t know was being recorded. WISGOP reported:

Rep. Fred Clark (D-Baraboo), running in a recall election against Senator Luther Olsen, was caught on tape last week saying he would like to “smack around” a woman in his district.

The comment was recorded on the home answering machine of Sue and John Stapelman of Baraboo. Clark phoned the family while making campaign calls, and had a short, curt conversation with Sue Stapelman. Stapelman then hung up the phone, but her answering machine was still rolling, and caught Clark saying, “I feel like calling her back and smacking her around.”

John Hogan, director of the Committee to Elect a Republican Senate, said “This disturbing and inappropriate comment gives us an unfortunate glimpse of what Representative Clark is like when he thinks no one is listening. Domestic violence is a devastating problem in our state , and abuse is on the rise. To be able to so freely threaten violence against a woman, even in jest, shows a tremendous lack of character.”

Catching you up…

Casey Anthony’s first-degree murder trial will resume this afternoon , putting state prosecutors one step closer to wrapping up their case against the accused child killer. Proceedings ended early Monday because the state announced its next witnesses weren’t available until this afternoon.

It’s unclear who the state intends to call today, but many speculate it will be forensic analysts. Court will begin at 1 p.m.

Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry told jurors Monday that the state may wrap up its case by Wednesday, which means the defense could begin calling its witnesses Thursday.

Body Language Expert: Casey Anthony’s Facial Expressions Aren’t Consistent

Jury consultant and Supreme Court Co. mediator Susan Constantine shared her interesting expertise on the largest piece of evidence presented by the prosecution on Monday: a heart-shaped sticker found on the duct tape used to cover Caylee’s mouth.

The prosecution held that this evidence was vital because the same stickers were found in the Anthony home. The defense says that this doesn’t necessarily incriminate Casey, since they maintain that George Anthony – Casey’s father – helped cover up the accidental drowning.

Constantine weighed in on the effect of the visual aspects on the trial — from Casey’s clothing to facial expressions. But when it comes to finding consistency or authentic emotion in a grieving mother, Constantine says that it’s “just not there.”

Expert testimony Monday about insects suggests Caylee Anthony’s decomposing body was in her mom’s trunk for 3-5 days.

Frank Gaffney appears on Fox News to discuss the release of a new study, “Shari’a and Violence in American Mosques,” written by Mordechai Kedar and David Yerushalmi. For more information on the study– published in Middle East Quarterly’s Summer 2011 issue (See Article)

A random survey of 100 representative mosques in the U.S. was conducted to measure the correlation between Sharia adherence and dogma calling for violence against non-believers. Of the 100 mosques surveyed, 51% had texts on site rated as severely advocating violence; 30% had texts rated as moderately advocating violence; and 19% had no violent texts at all.

Mosques that presented as Sharia adherent were more likely to feature violence-positive texts on site than were their non-Sharia-adherent counterparts. In 84.5% of the mosques, the imam recommended studying violence-positive texts. The leadership at Sharia-adherent mosques was more likely to recommend that a worshipper study violence-positive texts than leadership at non-Sharia-adherent mosques.

Fifty-eight percent of the mosques invited guest imams known to promote violent jihad. The leadership of mosques that featured violence-positive literature was more likely to invite guest imams who were known to promote violent jihad than was the leadership of mosques that did not feature violence-positive literature on mosque premises.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Republican White House hopefuls condemned President Barack Obama’s handling of the economy from the opening moments of their first major debate of the campaign season Monday night, and pledged emphatically to repeal his historic year-old health care overhaul.

“When 14 million Americans are out of work we need a new president to end the Obama Depression,” declared former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, the first among seven contenders on stage to criticize the president’s economic policies.
