Yeppers, you got it Bunky ~

–Addressing the ball is just a fancy term for setting up your stance, preparing to hit it. It is when you plant your feet by the ball, and put your club down, preparing to hit it.

Tornadoes killed 45 Americans today in 6 states.

Obama went golfing.

It was his 64th round since moving into the White House.

Obama was leaving the country club golf course when he was accosted by an armed robber who demanded, “Give me all of your money!” Barack haughtily replied, “Do you know who I am. I’m the President of the United States!” The robber snarled back, “Then give me all MY money.”

Of course, Kristinn noted that the media was a little slow to report on Obama’s golf outing:

While Southern states reeled from a massive tornado outbreak that killed several dozen people, Barack Obama played his 64th round of golf as president today. The White House pool reporter filed reports on Obama’s departure for the links at Andrews Air Force Base and on his return to the White House. However there are no reports by the media informing the public about Obama’s golf outing.

Another 5 Americans were killed today in a suicide bombing at a military base in eastern Afghanistan.

Obama’s budget is like his golf game. He eventually winds up in the hole.

~ NOTE: When you play a hole in golf, there is a set score, or par, that you are expected to make. If you get the ball in the hole with one hit more than that score, you have hit a bogie.

Another golfing term: Gimmes are never required. The non-putting player can choose to allow a gimme or not allow it at any time.

:: Deadly Tornadoes Sweep Across 6 States ::

— 240 tornadoes touchdown in 3 days

The storm that killed 17 people in Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia continued its deadly path yesterday.

RALEIGH, N.C. – A devastating storm that spawned tornadoes, flash floods and hail as big as softballs has claimed at least 43 lives across the U.S. while roaring through the South and gaining steam in North Carolina and Virginia.

Fox News reports that softball sized hail, flash floods and numerous tornadoes have killed 35 people throughout the South and along the Eastern seaboard.

The death toll is expected to rise Sunday as authorities measure the extent of the destruction and the storm moves out over the Atlantic.

A state of emergency has been declared in North Carolina where up to 250,000 people were without power.

Governor Beverly Perdue decconfirmed the state saw 62 confirmed tornadoes, and said it is the worst storm since 1984 when 22 tornadoes touched down and 57 people were killed, 42 in North Carolina.

From ~ AP:

RALEIGH, N.C. – A furious storm system that kicked up tornadoes, flash floods and hail as big as softballs has claimed at least 40 lives on a rampage that began in Oklahoma days ago, then smashed across several Southern states as it reached a new and deadly pitch in North Carolina and Virginia.

Emergency crews searched for victims in hard-hit swaths of North Carolina, where 62 tornadoes were reported from the worst spring storm in two decades to hit the state. Ten people were confirmed dead in Bertie County, county manager Zee Lamb said. At least three deaths were reported in Virginia. Authorities warned the toll was likely to rise further Sunday as searchers probed shattered homes and businesses.

The storm claimed its first lives Thursday night in Oklahoma, then roared through Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Seven people each were killed in Arkansas and Alabama, two people in Oklahoma and one person in Mississippi, authorities have said.

:: ATF Policy Allowed Guns to Cross U.S.-Mexico Border? ::

Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) has damning evidence that US ATF officials sanctioned or allowed the sale of assault weapons to straw purchasers. The agency was doing this on purpose. The government encouraged this. Two of the weapons ended up at the murder scene of a US border patrol agent in Arizona, Brian Terry.

Obama says he and Holder knew nothing about Operation Gunrunner.

Senator Grassley spoke out on his investigation yesterday on the floor of the senate.

This is an amazing video:

The Justice Department and ATF continue to stonewall Grassley’s requests for information, despite a commitment from Attorney General Eric Holder, during his confirmation, that Grassley’s oversight questions would be answered. Grassley also reveals in a speech on the Senate floor that Federal Firearms Licensees also questioned the policy of knowingly selling guns to straw purchasers.

Project Gunrunner – Issa Subpoenas ATF to Break Through Its Stonewalling

March 30th, 2011 Who’s Lying? Issa’s Investigation Will Get To The Bottom Of Project Gunrunner

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF)’s PROJECT GUNRUNNER allowed gun sales to criminals so they could present “evidence” to the administration that the Second Amendment should be restricted or abolished! While the Obama administration was blaming our gun rights for the drug war violence in Mexico, its very own gun sting operation looks to have been a major source of illicit firearms … and now the administration is REFUSING TO COOPERATE with the investigation into this scandal!

Guns purchased under Project Gunrunner and sold to Mexican drug cartels were ultimately used to kill at least two United States government employees.

IT HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ANSWERS ON THIS INVESTIGATION… acting ATF Director Kenneth E. Melson has not cooperated, and Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA), told CBS News he is being “stonewalled” in his efforts to find out information.

But now, George Gillett Jr., who was assistant special agent in charge of the ATF Phoenix field office, and provided day-to-day oversight of the Arizona component of the Gunrunner operation, is ready to talk. He initially stalled the investigation by ordering ATF agents not to cooperate with congressional inquiries… but he has changed his mind, and has had two preliminary meetings with investigators.

— Let me say up front I am not a country music fan but recently two things have made me listen to country music with two new ears.
17 year old Scotty McCreery on American Idol and Naomi & Wynonna Judd.

Scotty’s voice is so pure it makes me listen. And the story of the volatile relationship between mother & daughter in the Judds, well, let’s JUST say it mirrors my oldest daughter and I. I relate to all of what Wynonna reveals in this first episode. And then to Naomi because we have so very much in common. I actually think this new show may very well help me. ~JP

The Judds is a unique docu-series that captures the complex and sometimes comical relationship between Naomi and Wynonna Judd – one of the most successful mother-daughter country music duos in the history of entertainment. Set against the rich backdrop of their much anticipated 18-city reunion tour, The Judds follows Naomi and Wynonna’s emotional journey, as they work to heal old wounds, reconnect with their fans, and share the spotlight once again.

In the premiere episode, Naomi and Wynonna prepare for their first concert tour together in 10 years, and risk shattering the fragile peace they’ve attained when painful memories are stirred up for both mother and daughter. Watch the special encore full episode and then tune in for new episodes every Sunday!
