Governor Palin today posted on Facebook

Union Brothers and Sisters: Seize Opportunity to Show True Solidarity:

The union-led school closures and demonstrations in Madison have left most ordinary Americans shaking their heads in disbelief. Months ago, I penned a message to my fellow union brothers and sisters when I found myself on the receiving end of union boss Richard Trumka’s wrath. Yesterday’s demonstrations reminded me of the full-page ads taken out against me when I put my foot down in dealing with union demands while I served as governor.

My message then and now to good union brothers and sisters is that you have another option. You don’t have to kowtow to the union bosses who are not looking out for you, but instead are using you. You can join millions of other union members in a commonsense movement to help fight for the right causes in our great country – for budgets that share the burden in a truly fair way and for commonsense reforms that take power away from vested interests like union bosses and big business lobby groups, and put it back where it belongs – with “We the People.”

— CFP Tea Party members should take a prayer in their hearts to Wisconsin…It will take as much common sense as it will courage to be a Tea Party protester in union-made-ugly Wisconsin today. Ditto for the rest of the states when President Obama gets to unleash his union thugs on the people he was purportedly elected to represent.

— Heritage F.D.R. Warned Us “It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.”

That wasn’t Newt Gingrich, or Ron Paul, or Ronald Reagan talking. That was George Meany — the former President of the AFL-CIO — in 1955. Government unions are unremarkable today, but the labor movement once thought the idea absurd.

Gov. Walker’s plan reasserts voter control over government policy. Voters’ elected representatives should decide how the government spends their taxes. More states should heed the AFL-CIO Executive Council’s 1959 advice:

in terms of accepted collective bargaining procedures, government workers have no right beyond the authority to petition Congress—a right available to every citizen.

— Heritage The President Thumbs His Nose at Judge Vinson’s Obamacare Ruling: DOJ Seems to Concede It Can’t Win in Court

Late Thursday, February 17, the Obama Administration filed a incredibly odd and almost insulting “Motion to Clarify” the judgment in the case it lost against 26 states and the NFIB in the Obamacare litigation in Florida v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, No. 10-cv-00091 (N. D. Fla.)(Judge Vinson).

— CFP Obama Wants Control Over Each State AND the Country – What State’s Rights? What Constitution?

This country is becoming one big pot for our usurper president and imminent dictator. He shows his ignorance and unfamiliarity with the United States Constitution when he starts telling state Governors how to run their provinces which THEY were duly elected to govern. This man who stole his way into the highest office in this land is either the most brazen or the most stupid, or perhaps equal parts of each, iconoclast or rule breaker.

The Unserious World Of President Barack Obama…Amateur hour at the White House continued this week. President Obama, who swears up and down, cross his heart and hope to die, that he is serious about tackling the federal budget deficit released his proposed budget for fiscal year 2012.

Rep. McCaul: Mexican Gov’t Doesn’t Allow Our Law Enforcement to Carry Weapons in Mexico

Rep. Michael McCaul is asking why the Mexican government won’t allow U.S. law enforcement to carry weapons in Mexico when we’re helping them in the war against drug cartels. He also told Megyn Kelly that the assassination of I.C.E. agent Jaime Zarate in Mexico is a direct assault against the U.S. and that the administration should respond forcefully. –FoxNewsInsider

— Heritage {It’s On, It’s Off DECIDE already!} Iranian Warships Granted Permission to Pass Through Suez Canal

The new Egyptian government gave its official permission for the passage despite the fact that Iran and Egypt have had tense relations for many years. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called the deployment of the ships through the canal “a provocation that proves that the Iranians’ self-confidence and audacity grows every day.” Israel is understandably concerned that the Iranian vessels could pose a direct threat to Israel and may be transporting military supplies to Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, transshipped through Syria. Egypt has sovereignty over the canal and is bound by the Constantinople Convention of 1888.

Iran’s Green Movement Revives, Energized by Egyptian Revolt

Iran’s opposition Green Movement is both a forerunner and a beneficiary of many of the same forces that animated Egypt’s popular uprising. Although the regime did its cynical best to conflate the two events and trumpet the Egyptian revolt as an echo of Iran’s Islamist revolution, few Iranians bought the propaganda line spread by the regime.

President Obama and his administration’s contempt for our traditional allies, coupled with his comfort with our traditional adversaries can no longer be attributed to inexperience, or even incompetence. It must be due to ideology.
