Yesterday, we told you about a San Diego assistant port director’s comments that have garnered quite a response. Our own Trace Gallagher watched the entire report himself, to ensure nothing had been taken out of context after the official failed to respond to a local reporter asking him if any weapons of mass effect had been found in San Diego. The verdict? Trace says, without a doubt, nothing was taken out of context.
Now, other security officials are trying to quell a growing air of concern.

Assistant Director of the Port of San Diego admitted to a KGTV reporter that officials have found, in the past, weapons of “mass effect.” A public affairs official interrupted the officer during the interview saying they would provide more information later. The Department of Homeland Security, responding 23 days later, said the officer was “confused” and “nervous”.
