~ There is not a lot to make us feel good about these days. This six part set of videos will do JUST that! I JUST came back from a walk down our gravel road. I mostly walk to chase different demons, it makes me inevitably feel better and appreciate the beauty of God’s work. I took but a few pictures of God’s beauty around me. Keep in mind it is from a camera phone:
Yes, a ‘true’ rural road. I love the clouds and the privacy. In Chicago we have to worry about being hit as a pedestrian, here it may seem isolated, sometimes even lonely but I love today’s capture with the approaching storm. You can keep the weather radio’s constant scare & tornadoes, but the road is picturesque to me:
Like this bush, no one knows the name of it but as soon as I walk out my door it is the sweetest perfume I have smelled & I call it God’s fragrance and it is my favorite color, purple:
I like to visualize this tree in my mind’s eye when I am troubled. It is splendidly magnificent! The pic does not do it justice for it is gianourmous! Like ten trees grew into one. The guesstimate of age is over hundred:
We have many different flowers on the property but these are yellow, lol, my favorite color before purple. I wonder if it comes from my HS colors of gold & purple, hmmm:
You may ask yourself what gives with this picture. Well, we all know the likelihood we best be self sustaining for food. PF is VERY proud of this tract that has been tilled because it means, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, greens and more. Trying to talk him into a patch of catnip (~ smile.):
So friends, look around you, especially when you are chasing your own demons or in a dark mood. Now on with the show thanks to OmniChristianVids3…~JP
Viewers of Sunday’s This Week were treated to a powerhouse All-Gubernatorial round table consisting of Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ), Gov. Deval Patrick (D-MA), Gov. John Hickenlooper (D-CO), and Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), all moderated by popular fill-in Jake Tapper. Although the panel was ideologically mixed, you might not have known that given their response to this question: “Don’t you think it’s a little cowardly for the legislators — Democratic legislators in Indiana and Wisconsin just to have fled?”
As you can see, Deval Patrick wants nothing to do with the question, and Hickenlooper changes the subject (again) to restaurants:
Doctors and nurses in Britain are being advised to tell their patients that having an abortion is safer than having the baby, The Telegraph reports. The draft guidance from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is for all doctors, nurses and counselors advising women who are thinking about terminating their pregnancy.
Its first recommendation on “what women need to know” instructs health professionals: “Women should be advised that abortion is generally safer than continuing a pregnancy to term.”
~ Gee, I’m so relieved! D%(#_!@! ~JP
The guidance also says that women who are deciding whether to have an abortion must be told that most do not suffer any psychological harm. Until now, their advice has been that while rates of psychiatric illness and self-harm in women are higher among those who had an abortion, there was no evidence that termination itself was likely to trigger psychological problems.
A Royal College spokesman said that while the authors of the guidance intended that the comparison between the risks of abortion and pregnancy was spelled out to those providing terminations, doctors should be able to use their judgment about whether to repeat the point to women in their care.

Georgia Lawmaker’s Anti-Abortion Proposal Could Punish Women for Miscarriages
A Georgia state representative has reintroduced an anti-abortion bill that would make miscarriages a felony if the mother cannot prove there was no “human involvement.”
The legislation from Rep. Bobby Franklin, a Republican, would make all abortions, described as “prenatal murder,” illegal based on the belief that all life begins at conception. The bill’s definition of “prenatal murder” excludes miscarriages “so long as there is no human involvement whatsoever” in causing them. Anyone convicted would face the death penalty or life behind bars.
Miscarriages, defined as pregnancies that end on their own within the first 20 weeks, are quite common. As many as 40 percent of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, often before a woman misses a menstrual period or even knows she is pregnant, according to the March of Dimes. About 10 to 15 percent of recognized pregnancies end in a miscarriage, the group found.
~ We were SO glad to see these go in Chicago!…Cabrini-Green – 660 W. Division Time Lapse Demolition–one of the last remaining buildings within the Cabrini-Green housing projects in Chicago. Since late 1999, Chicago has been working to replace the old model of isolated low income residences with new, low rise, mixed income communities. As of this posting, there are four more buildings to be demolished Feb 21, 2010
Demolition at Cabrini-Green (1230 North Larrabee) Demolition almost complete at the 1230 North Larrabee building in the William Green Homes complex of the Cabrini-Green public housing projects. 1230 Larrabee was vacated last summer, and demolition has progressed slowly since then. Once 1230 Larrabee is removed, the last remaining high-rise at 1230 Burling will be demolished. Dec 21, 2010
1230 Burling Final tower at Cabrini Green demolished – CGG planted 15 trees at the former site of the Chicago Housing Authority’s Cabrini Green public housing project. As we planted, the final tower of this building was being demolished Jan 13, 2011
~ Then we have the ridiculous stunt of Jane Byrne, the same beatch who banned guns in Chicago, who only won because of a blizzard clean up failure. Footage of an Easter celebration held by Chicago Mayor Jane Byrne at Cabrini Green, where she was temporarily living at the time. Byrne humorously leads a crowd of Cabrini residents in song, followed by a chaotic clash between police and protesters.
Dad was able to get a pass for me to go along with him and Tim Conway to a tour and watch the launch of STS-133. This video shows selected photos from our trip and tour on February 23rd and 24th at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In the back ground you will hear the count down for the Launch along with short segments of Sam the tour leader describing what has happened during the course of this launch. Many thanks to all of those that helped make this possible including all current and past NASA staff. It is incredible what has gone into the space program and it makes me proud to be an American.
