~As always thank you The Founding Patriots!

You probably couldn’t have found a more polite crowd at the opera. Pundits will debate whether the crowd at Glenn Beck’s Saturday rally in Washington was the largest in recent political history, but it was certainly among the most impressive.

Mr. Beck is a television host and radio broadcaster with a checkered past and a penchant for incendiary remarks. But if he’s judged by the quality of people of all colors that he attracted to the Lincoln Memorial, his stock can’t help but rise.

One would not be able to find a more polite crowd at a political convention, certainly not at a professional sporting event, probably not even at an opera. In fact, judging by the behavior of the attendees following the event, you’d have a tough time finding churches in which people display more patience as others make their way to the exits.

This army of well-mannered folks that marched into Washington seemed comprised mainly of people who had once marched in the U.S. Army or other military branch, or at least had a family member who had. Perhaps that’s not surprising, given that the event was a fund-raiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarships to the children of elite troops killed in the performance of their duty. The day was largely devoted to expressions of gratitude for the sacrifices of U.S. soldiers, for great men of American history like the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., and for God.

But it didn’t end there. Dave Roever, a Vietnam veteran, offered a closing prayer in which he thanked the Lord for the president and for the Congress. Despite the unpopularity of the latter two, no booing or catcalls could be heard.

Perhaps feeling defensive about how they would be portrayed in media reports, various attendees wore t-shirts noting that they were “Not violent” or “Non-violent.” For other participants, there was no need for an explicit message. Relaxed young parents felt comfortable enough to push toddlers in strollers through the crowded areas along the memorial’s reflecting pool.

Not only was the rally akin to a “huge church picnic” (in one Journal reporter’s description), but one had to wonder if the over-achievers in this crowd actually left the area in better shape than they found it.

After the event, walking from the Lincoln Memorial’s reflecting pool through Constitution Gardens, this reporter scanned 360 degrees and could not see a scrap of trash anywhere. Participants and volunteers had collected all their refuse and left it piled neatly in bags around the public garbage cans. Near Constitution Avenue, I did encounter one stray piece of paper—but too old and faded to have been left that day.

Given the huge representation of military families at the event, maybe it’s not surprising the grounds were left ship-shape. A principal theme of the day was that attendees should restore the country by making improvements in their own lives—be the change you wish to see in the world, as Gandhi once put it.

Most of the participants were strictly amateurs in the business of activism. For many, it was their first appearance at a public demonstration. Their strikingly mild-mannered nature might inspire even Mr. Beck to acknowledge that in a crowd estimated at 300,000, the craziest person at the event might have been the one with the microphone. While he admits that he’s part entertainer and prone to over-the-top comments, his followers appear to be sincerely responding to his message that Americans need to cling to their best traditions. (Mr. Beck’s program appears on the Fox News Channel, which is owned by News Corp., which also owns this newspaper.)

The conservative Mr. Beck’s ability to draw this many people to Washington may suggest enormous gains for Republicans come the fall. But the GOP shouldn’t expect voters to simply hand them a congressional majority without making them earn it. If pregame chatter and off-season optimism translated into victory, the New York Jets and the Washington Redskins would meet in the Super Bowl every year.

Between Saturday’s crowd in Washington and the tea partiers agitating for limited government, we may be witnessing the rebuilding of the Reagan coalition, the “fusion” of religious and economic conservatives that political theorist Frank Meyer once endorsed.

Reagan always believed that the Republican Party was the natural home for this movement, but GOP leaders in Washington need to prove they are worthy of it.

~ The work that Christine did & the continuous investigative work by Steve Emerson are exquisite! If anyone that reads JUST Piper or has been in the shadows of fighting terrorism knows, the following report, as is every report from Steve, is how intrinsic this work is & they never get the gratitude or accolades they have earned. And what they reveal is nothing less than what Special Ops, CIA or FBI. findings are, maybe even more.~JP

Think of it as ACORN reborn, with a slice of Jihad on the side.

On August 31, this coming Tuesday, the Muslim Brotherhood-associated “Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations” (CCMO) will bring 25-30 Muslim leaders of 20 national Muslim groups to attend a special workshop presented by the White House and U.S. Government agencies (Agriculture, Education, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services etc.) to provide the groups “funding, government assistance and resources.”

The workshop will apparently provide special access for these Muslim Brotherhood organizations: the organizers pledge to provide “direct access” and “cut through red tape.” Government and Muslim groups will hold an Iftar dinner (breaking the fast of Ramadan) after the workshop.

The event was announced in an email newsletter sent August 27 by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism finance trial, long associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, the global Islamist network (great backgrounder here from Hudson Institute). Here are three key paragraphs from the email (the entire article on the August 31 event from the ISNA email is pasted below this post as reference):

This year, a phenomenal next step has been made where government iftars become coupled with workshops to provide resources and benefit the Muslim community. The US Department of Agriculture (DOA) and the Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations (CCMO) have paired the first of such events, scheduled for August 31, 2010.

…Leaders from Muslim organizations around the nation, particularly social service organizations, are invited to a workshop with representatives from the DOA, Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Health and Human Services, the White House, Department of Education, the Department of Homeland Security, and more. Twenty five to thirty Muslim leaders representing 20 Muslim organizations are expected to attend the workshop.

According to a representative of CCMO, this workshop is designed to clarify how Muslim nonprofits, mosques, Islamic centers, and social service organizations can strengthen their communities through more direct access to opportunities provided to social service agencies at the Federal level. “It will hopefully help cut through some of the red tape and shine light on the many opportunities for funding, government assistance, and resources that we just don’t know about at the local level,” said Elsanousi.

The Problem: Your Money, redistributed to the Muslim Brotherhood

This workshop constitutes an abdication of their professional responsibility by all government participants – and a taxpayer-funded government stimulus program for the attending Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups. The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928, is a global Islamist political movement dedicated to imposing Shariah law on all nations and institutions. Their credo is “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

Why do we think some of these groups attending, possibly all, may be associated with the Muslim Brotherhood?

Because the sponsoring organization – the Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations (CCMO), co-sponsoring with the Department of Agriculture – has a long history of associations with the Muslim Brotherhood. They also signed a 2009 American Muslim Task Force statement threatening to “suspend” relations with the FBI, because the FBI was investigating possible links to homegrown terrorism in mosques and other Muslim organizations.

Not so evident on the current website, of course. This happens all the time with groups associated with the Muslim Brotherhood – the current CCMO website has a LOT less information than the older ones preserved at (aka “The Wayback Machine”). Here are the previous websites for the CCMO from 2004-2008. The pre-whitewashed CCMO websites are highly revealing. They expose the degree to which this Administration intends to direct taxpayer money (and “reduced red tape”) to Muslim Brotherhood-associated organizations in the U.S.

The Administration has not revealed which 20 groups and 25-30 leaders will attend the special workshop, but if they include the 41 CCMO members listed in 2007, the attendees could include the following groups , which I’ve linked to descriptions published by The Investigative Project (please support their work):

* ISNA The Islamic Society of North America, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Terrorism Finance trial, and the source of Friday’s email promoting this CCMO/Department of Agriculture Event;

* CAIR The Council on American Islamic Relations, shunned by the FBI, several of its leaders indicted or convicted for terrorism, a possible violator of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, sued for fraud by Muslim, Hispanic and African-American families, named as an unindicted co-conspirator (CAIR fundraiser advertised at the CCMO site);

* IIIT The International Institute of Islamic Thought , the “think tank” of the Muslim Brotherhood, described at that link by The Grand Jihad author and former prosecutor Andrew McCarthy. One of the current and longest serving officers of CCMO is Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, founder of the educational arm of IIIT, the Fairfax Institute and the Director of Outreach Program for Dar-ul Hijrah “Terror” Mosque – more on him below.

* MPAC The Muslim Public Affairs Committee , exposed in that linked 88-page IPT report particularly for their defense of terrorists and terrorist financers. MPAC advertised here at the CCMO site for an event co-sponsored by Islamic Free Market Institute, the latter described in Paul Sperry’s pathbreaking book Dar al Hijrah Mosque (known as the “Terror Mosque” in Northern Virginia for its links to imprisoned, indicted or wanted terrorists as vividly described by Frank Gaffney), advertised here at the CCMO site.

~ NOTE: Al-Awlaki was the senior al-Qaeda recruiter and motivator for various terrorists, including three 9/11 hijackers, the accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Malik Hasan, and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the suspect in the Christmas Day 2009 attempt to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253. Al-Awlaki may still be alive in Yemen, and after some concerns about his civil rights, reportedly the Obama administration now has him targeted as a terrorist.

Hasan the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother’s funeral was held there in May that year.

Francheska Velez

WE lost a loved one at that massacre. She was the cousin of my son-in-law . ~ JP

* MAS The Muslim American Society “Freedom Foundation” run by three-time felon Mahdi Bray (MASFF Fundraiser advertised at the CCMO site). The Muslim American Society was originally founded as the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. MAS leader Mahdi Bray was elected on September 7, 2003 to the Executive Committee by over 40 CCMO member organizations.

I suggest that the Administration knows these groups are linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. They think that’s a good thing.

This isn’t incompetence; it’s intentional.

~Tomorrow I will post Part II here: The CCMO Officers: Muslim Brotherhood Leaders–stay tuned…

In August of 1977, Melissa Ohden was ‘marked for death,’ but miraculously she survived.

In this two part series, host Brad Mattes takes the Facing Life Head-On audience on the journey of Melissa’s remarkable survival, how her tragic beginning quickly turned into a story of love through adoption, her search for the truth and for her biological family, and how being a survivor has impacted her now as a parent, herself.

Interviews with Melissa’s adoptive mother and with a doctor regarding late term abortion attempts and the impact of these abortions on babies like Melissa give depth to a story, and a life, that is often unheard of: the story and life of the unborn.

Melissa Ohden’s tale of surviving an abortion is remarkable. In part one of this two-part series, we’ll hear her tale of survival, learn the details involved in a saline abortion, and find out how Melissa’s tragic history turned into a story of love and adoption.

In the summer of 1977, Melissa’s mother was admitted to St. Luke’s hospital in Sioux City, Iowa with the intention of aborting her unborn daughter. But the saline abortion attempt failed and baby Melissa was delivered alive, unbeknownst to the abortionist. A few doctors and nurses finally noticed that Melissa was making small movements and noises and they quickly went to work on saving Melissa’s life. Having survived the abortion attempt on her life, baby Melissa still required intense medical care.

Linda and Ron Cross were already the parents of one adopted daughter when they decided the time had come to have another child. They first saw Melissa when she was only one month old. According to Linda, it was love at first sight. Linda and Ron adopted Melissa and were able to take her home only a couple months later. Despite initial concerns regarding her future, Melissa thrived in the loving home of her new family.

Melissa’s story of survival is remarkable, considering the damage a saline abortion inflicts on an unborn child. Dr. Jonathan Taylor is a Doctor of Osteopathy with Creighton University and a former OB/GYN. He describes the saline abortion procedure and outlines the effects the chemical solution has on unborn children. Due to the amount of survivors, saline abortions are no longer practiced. But that hasn’t stopped abortionists from inventing new late-term procedures.

When it was announced several years ago that spy satellites would be used domestically, the excuse was that they were a necessary tool to fight the “war on terror” and illegal immigration. However, now that the use of such technology is becoming commonplace, it is in fact being deployed mainly to harass citizens who haven’t followed local ordinances on swimming pools or paid local back taxes.

A CNN video from several years ago, which has received fresh attention over the last few days, discusses the use of GPS satellite technology in the context of fighting terrorists, protecting borders and critical infrastructure, as the former DHS Assistant Secretary states that Americans should have “pride” in their domestic deployment.

However, some five years later, spy satellites are actually being used as tools of intimidation to scare people who owe back taxes, people who haven’t followed local ordinances on swimming pools, and a myriad of other petty transgressions.

As we reported earlier this month, aerial imaging technology is being used by the government to spy on Americans in an effort to collect revenue and enforce ordinances on swimming pools without safety certificates and junk cars being stored without permission, as the state completely violates the Fourth Amendment to suck citizens dry of whatever disposable income they have left as the economy enters a double dip recession.

The most chilling example of how authorities are abusing spy satellites is this Pittsburgh Department of Revenue ad, which uses the technology to intimidate residents into paying back taxes by threatening them with the big brother tool while claiming, “We do know who you are”.

NOT a parody: Saw this ad on TV tonight. I initially thought it was satire or a parody of some type. It is not. Straight from the PA department of Revenue ( ). It has not been edited or changed in any way and can currently be downloaded directly from their website.

Similar in creepiness to the video Ad:This one, however, they call people who don’t pay “criminals”. I’m surprised they don’t just say that if you don’t pay up, they will introduce you to a man named “bubba” who think’s you’re really pretty.

Here’s a text add declaring “the death of mr. nice guy”:

From RFID tagging school children and surreptitiously taking the blood of newborn babies to be included in a government DNA database to airport naked body scanners and warrantless checkpoints cropping up around the country, the government has stepped up its efforts to impose a high-tech surveillance and control grid on the American people.

Prior to the anointment of Barry Obama to the presidency, we were told government would suddenly become transparent. Instead, the policies escalated under Bush have continued. The Obama administration has taken the snoop grid to the next level with his plan to allow the NSA snoop computer traffic on private-sector networks. Congress is ready to hand him the authority to shut down the internet.

It should be obvious to all who pay attention that the encroaching surveillance grid is not about saving us from al-Qaeda or medieval Muslims in remote caves, but is designed to be used to track and ultimately control the movement and thus liberty of the American people.

*Friends , I had many moving moments, as you all did with the Restoring Honor rally. But we all can pick that defining moment & mine was when Glenn first introduced Dave Roever. Let me introduce you to everything about this man who touched me, is all about

~On GB’s show yesterday, the Monday after he tells Dave’s story beginng at appox. at 8:28

Dave proudly wrote on his Facebook of speaking at the Restoring Honor Rally in Washington DC. Giving honor to those who have so bravely fought for our freedom! Here is Dave and Glenn Beck before the rally. God bless our nation!.

In Dave’s own words from his MySpace:

About me:
Dave Roever grew up in a loving, committed family in South Texas. The last thing on his mind was going to war. At the height of the Vietnam War, he received his draft notice. Having no desire to serve in the infantry, he joined the Navy and served as a river boat gunner in the elite Brown Water Black Beret in Vietnam.

Eight months into his tour of duty in Vietnam, Dave was burned beyond recognition when a phosphorous grenade he was poised to throw exploded in his hand. The ordeal left him hospitalized for fourteen months, where he underwent numerous major surgeries. His survival and life are miraculous.

Today, with his humorous style, Dave Roever is enthusiastically received both nationally and internationally as a public speaker. He is a gifted communicator and speaks in a variety of settings including public schools, military installations, business, men’ s and youth conventions, etc. Dave is a frequent guest on national television talk shows.

He established compassionate, ongoing missions work in Vietnam and is involved in other nations.

In every setting, Dave’s message is one of hope. Using his life as an example, he addresses issues relevant to his audience and presents concrete solutions to life’ s problems. Often drawing upon his war experiences of loneliness, peer pressure, disfigurement and pain, as well as life’ s triumphs, Dave weaves a message of courage, commitment and survival that touches and transforms those who hear him.

The foundation of his hope is his faith, supported by the wholesome relationships with his parents, wife, children and grandchildren.

Thirty-four years after his injuries, the Department of the Navy corrected its oversight by awarding Dave his Purple Heart, along with several other service medals. Because of his war-time experience of service, injury and recovery, he is uniquely qualified to speak to the needs of military personnel. He is called upon regularly to address troops on domestic military bases as well as those deployed in Iraq and other locations around the globe.

In May 2005, Dave was awarded an honorary doctor degree in recognition of his remarkable life and service.

Dave Roever is founder, chairman, and president of two non-profit corporations: Listen to Dave’s message at Roever and Associates, and Roever Educational Assistance Programs (REAP) based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dave and his wife Brenda are co-founders of Listen to Dave’s message at Eagles Summit Ranch (ESR) near Westcliffe, Colorado, where the couple will train wounded warriors, others from the U. S. military and talented young leaders in areas of specific focus such as public speaking, and marital and emotional recovery after devastating injury, helping them to fulfill their destinies. Dave and Brenda are the parents of two adult children, Matt Roever and Kim Chapin, and and grandparents of four grandchildren.

Dave Roever, (pronounced “Reever”), has inspired me. I first heard him speak at our church several years ago. During the service, he walked to the piano and begun to play. Read on to learn how badly his hands and fingers had been blown up and burned. I can easily say that he is the best pianist I have ever heard. He is truly a miracle that God has blessed and protected.

3 things you should know about Dave Roever:

Dave is a strong, committed Christian, a loving husband and father, and a fantastic piano player.

He met Brenda and they fell in love. On July 15, 1967, they were married.

Soon he was in Vietnam. When told to take a VD shot, Dave replied, ” Get out of here with your needle. I don’t want VD.” He was told it was to keep him from catching it. Dave replied, “I know a better way. Keep your vows to your wife and you won’t need a VD shot.”

The Accident :

At last the men were using all the training they had gone through. They were in a boat on the Vam Co Tay in Vietnam firing 500 rounds a minute per gun. Enemy fire was coming from a bunker. Dave picked up a white phosphorus hand grenade, pulled the pin, and drew back his hand to throw it. It was six inches from his right ear. Before he could throw the grenade, it exploded in his hand. His chest was ripped opened to where he could see his heart beating through a hole. His right hand was severed almost completely in half with fingers dangling by tendons. His right thumb was hanging by a tendon. Blood was pumping from an artery in his right hand. The inside of his left arm was on fire. He was blind in his right eye and deaf in his right ear because the entire right side of his head was stripped down to skull. His right cheek was blown back so far that his tongue almost fell out of his mouth.

The First Positive Thing to Come from This Tragedy

He jumped into the water with his chest and back on fire. His skin was still burning even though he was deep in the water. When his head surfaced, he inhaled and sucked fire down into his lungs, bronchial tubes, and throat, scorching the inside of his mouth and vocal cords. After surfacing, Dave says his next words were, “God, I still believe in You!” Hearing those words, a buddy realized in a sudden instant the reality of Christ and fell to his knees, giving his heart to Christ.

This is how Dave describes the day his wife first saw him after the accident :

He had been transported to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

“My wife Brenda, still a teenager, walked into my room; a girl I had respected while we dated. She was a virgin when I married her and so was I. Our relationship was built on respect, not the back seat of a car. Two kids had waited for each other because they respected and honored God and themselves. Now, that respect would come back, not to haunt me, but to help me. The day Brenda stepped into that room it was truth or consequences. She walked up and read the chart on my bed to confirm I was her husband. She read the tag on my arm to be certain the right man was in the right bed. Then convinced it was me, she bent down, kissed my face, looked me in my good eye, and stated, ‘I want you to know that I love you. Welcome home, Davey.'”

Heroes: Dave Roever

Vietnam veteran Dave Roever visited with hospitalized veterans at the Baltimore VA Medical Center during Memorial Day weekend to provide a message of inspiration. Roever’s story is one of hope and courage. He survived a phosphorus grenade explosion in Vietnam, and battled through loneliness, pain, and disfigurement, to go on and lead a fulfilling and productive life.

Scars That Heal: True Life Story of Dave Roever. Gripping true story about rebuilding a life following a hand grenade accident in Vietnam. Dave uses humor and emotion to minister to the pain in us all.
