Even the lefties in East Hampton are irked over the Hamptons Institute, a new program at Guild Hall modeled after the Aspen Institute that in mid-July will feature George Soros (spoke today) on a panel discussing “Restoring the Integrity of the US Financial Markets,” and Van Jones orating on “Building the Infrastructure of a New Economy.” Jones had to resign as President Obama’s green-jobs adviser when it was reported he’d signed a 2004 petition that called for investigations into whether the Bush administration allowed 9/11 to occur as a pretext for war in the oil-rich Middle East.
